Our goodbyes.

It's 1 PM, we get to New Jersey's Star Airport, we just came out of security and now Andrew and I are sitting in our seats waiting for our flights. Andrew is headed to Michigan and I'm headed to Tennessee; we are going into our separate ways.

"The gate to the flight from New Jersey to Tennessee is now open," Someone says through the speakers.

I stand up and grab the suitcase that's sitting on the floor next to me and Andrew stands up as well. I look into his eyes that are shining brighter than the lights above us and I hug him and he does too. I feel the protection and warmth when he puts his arms around me; it's magical, rare, really something. We both pull away, "Be careful," he says with a wide smile as I nod.

I start to walk away slowly leaving him behind, then I looking back waving at him as my suitcase is rolling behind me. He motions a "call me," sign and I chuckle lightly and emotionally. I know I haven't known him for long but something is attaching to him for some reason. It's his heart.

I sit near the plane window and get comfortable and I feel my phone vibrate in my jean jacket pocket. I pull it out and it was a message from Andrew, "Get off the plane, you forgot to give me a kiss. J"

I laugh lightly and open my phone camera and press the record button, I blow him a kiss and giggle. I send him the video and he sends me a heart icon.

"Ladies and gentlemen, the plane is about to take off, have your devices on airplane mode and take a seat," a voice said through the speakers above us. I turn my airplane mode on and put in my headphones and play my downloaded playlist as I look out the window once again. I feel a tap on my shoulder, I remove one of my earbuds and lookup.

"Is this seat taken?" Sammy asks. I don't answer and put my earbud back in my ear. I see him sit down beside me.

Are you freakin' serious!? Him out of all people has to sit here!

"Excuse me," I wave to the flight attendant.

She walks over to me, "How could I help?"

"Are there any spots open? I'd like to change my seat please," I say as Sammy looks at me with an odd smirk.

"Well we have one seat open," she says.

"Where is that?" I ask as she points literally to a seat that is across from Sammy's to his left side. Sammy chuckles lightly covering his mouth.

"Is there any other seat that is open besides in this area," I say with a bit of anger in my voice.

"No ma'am," she says as I stand up. I grab my bag that I settled over my head earlier and walk to the open seat. At least there is the walking pathway separating us; better than sitting right beside him. The flight attendant walks away and the plane starts moving as I put my headphones back in my ears. I feel Sammy looking at me as the music blasts into my ears. I yawn from sleepiness and I hold my head with my hand and I close my eyes.

I feel a soft stroke against my cheeks and I open my eyes, "You are even more beautiful when you are sleeping," Sammy whispers.

"What the hell are you doing?" I push his hand away.

"What am I doing?"

"You're crazy," I mumble. "Don't ever think about touching me like that again."

"What's up with you?"

"What's up with me? What's up with you? Did you forget that I'm with someone else right now? Or do I need to remind you that we are not a thing anymore!" I say.
