The pair were settled on the couch, in the usual position of Felix sitting in Chan's lap after they had their bath together.
"Baby, you aren't watching the movie" Chan chuckled into Felix's hair. The younger was snuggled into him as he wrapped his arms around Chan's torso, burying his face in the older's chest as his tail was wrapped around his thigh.
"Want..." he barely mumbled.
"Kitten, what was that?" Chan chuckled trying to lift his head up by the chin.
"I said... I just want Channie..." he meowed with a pout.
"Princess, you'll always have me" he chuckled again as he stroked his hair.
Felix let out another meow before hiding his face in Chan's chest.
"Channie...."
"Yes kitten?"
"Can I .... get contacts again....?" The younger kept his face in Chan's chest with his eyes closed.
"Now hold on a minute" Chan said sternly as he tried to pull Felix off him, but the younger wouldn't budge.
"Kitten, look at me"
Felix just meowed as he kept his eyes close, right before Chan pried him off to look at him.
"Felix, open your eyes" he demanded.
Felix slowly opened his eyes, looking into Chan's.
Chan slipped his arms around his waist, keeping him in position.
"Kitten, what's wrong? Why do you want contacts again? I already told you how I feel about them, and you don't need them" he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
Felix looked away before looking at him.
"Because...."
"Because?"
"So something like tonight won't happen again... and You wouldn't have gotten hurt.... if I was a normal hybrid... none of this would have happened..." he frowned.
"Kitten, no. Don't think like that" he raised his voice lightly.
Chan sigh as he gripped his arms tighter around Felix's waist.
"Baby, it's not your fault I got hurt. I would have done anything to protect you. That being said, I don't want you getting contacts again" he said lowly.
Felix kept quiet as he lifted his head to look as Chan.
"Felix, you already know. I love you the way you are. Even if you had both brown eyes, I still would have searched ends of the earth to find you. It doesn't matter what color they are"
"But... they wanted me for my eye...." Felix mumbled.
Chan let out another sigh before continuing.
"Yes, considering the circumstances because of your eye being different, it made you an easy target. But, you can't let that scare you into changing yourself. You need to trust I'll always be here to protect you"
"But Channie...."
"No Felix, you aren't getting contacts again. End of discussion" He said sternly as he pulled Felix against his chest again.
Felix just pouted as he was laying against his chest, closing his eyes so hopefully he would drift off to sleep.
It's no fair...
He doesn't understand...He thought as he finally drifted off to sleep in Chan's embrace. After a few minutes Chan noticed before he turned the tv off to pick him up, taking them both to bed. Felix was so exhausted, he didn't wake up at all when Chan carried him, nor when he tucked him in the sheets.
