"But, all I'm saying is that this exam makes everyone pretty tense," Kabuto explained. "And you wouldn't wanna make too much commotion right now.
"What does it matter to you anyway?" dark eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"Ah, well you're all rookies right? And this is your first year taking the exam.. I guess you all just kind of reminded me of myself my first year." Kabuto gave off a nervous laugh.
"Huh? Are you saying this isn't your first time taking the Chunin exams?" Sakura questioned, leaving the white haired man to sweat drop at the question.
"A-actually... this will be my seventh time taking the exam..."
That peaked Naruto's interest, quickly butting in. "Oh cool! That would make you like an expert on this thing!!"
Pineapple head scuffed at that. "Some expert.. The guys never passed." he muttered more to himself.
"Pft..." Nanno quickly covered her mouth, turning her head away in an attempt not to laugh. The sudden jab at the newcomer had caught her off guard to say the least.
Board dark eyes raked up the girl's form with a small smirk while she looked away. Quickly moving up to meet her eyes when she turned back around. Pineapple head casually introducing himself to her as Shikamaru Nara.
The girl gave a smirk back. "Are you always this comedic, Shi-ka-mar-u?" slowly adding emphasis to each part of the boy's name. A small blush formed at the girl's cute action. Was she flirting? Maybe a little. But who could blame her? This whole conversation was beginning to get dull.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" He was a genius but this sudden interaction with a pretty girl made his brain mush. But Shikamaru wasn't about to back down.
"That's why I asked." the girl's smirk grew slightly.
He turned his head away from the girl, back towards the group that was beginning to surround Kabuto. "Well, I guess we have to go out sometime and you can find out for yourself."
'Eh.. l-like a date?'
"Like a date." Shikamaru quickly answered the question without her even needing to ask, the look on her face giving away the girl's thoughts. "Maybe after the exams are over..." a light blush made its way onto his face.
".. r-really?" he couldn't help the smirk that made its way back onto his face at the girls cute stutter. Only sparing a glance in her direction, what a cool guy.
"Of course, that's why I asked."
"o-okay.." the girl agreed before she could even really think about it, nerves getting the best of her.
The pair moved their attention back to the group. Unaware that another person was listening in to their conversation, and they were less than pleased with the outcome.
