A pair of venomous red eyes stared down dulled multi-colored ones.

Not waiting for a reply to her recent outburst, proceeding to push pass the male currently blocking her way to the door. Only to be stopped by a hand shooting out, making its way around her throat. Back and head being slammed down against the counter top, lying in the same area she was trapped against only moments ago, faster than she could blink. Leaving her feet to dangle against cabinet doors.

'H-he's fast.' eyes widening in shock.

Immediately attempting to claw at the hand around her neck keeping her in place, a nervous sweat forming on her temple. Palm against her windpipe making it harder to breath. Nothing overly painful, he wasn't trying to hurt the girl. But still awfully uncomfortable. While his thumb and pointer on the same hand had a tight hold on to her jaw so she couldn't look away.

"Now then... don't you think that was a little rude?" she could practically hear the smirk in his voice.

"If you want, you could make it up to me." his other hand moving to gently rest on her hip.

Fight or flight instinct began to kick in. Her leg coming up at lightning speed, aiming towards the man's head. He may have caught her off guard but Nanno had speed too. That was something she was confident in. Only for it to be shattered in seconds, feeling a painful grip placed around her ankle. Foot landing less than a hair from its original target.

"You're faster than I expected. I almost didn't catch that." he muttered more to himself than her.

His movements were like he already knew what she was going to do before she did. It terrified her.

"Ah. I guess you didn't know... I'm pretty infamous for copying movement." his hand holding her leg pointing towards his glowing eye. "Thanks to this."

'The way he uses his kekkei genkai... is scary'

Suddenly her focused turned towards the area to the right of the man holding her down. Dark particles slowly forming into a familiar figure. Ajin, now stood towering over them both.

'H-huh? What the hell is it doing?' It was uncommon for that thing to come out to her without asking, hell sometimes even that didn't work.

"Look at me." Kakashi growled, gripping her jaw harder shaking her attention back to himself.

Following orders, only to see long ashy talons making their way around the man's throat. Not yet touching skin and going completely unnoticed by its prey. One sharpened tip hovering over his jugular. It was as if it were waiting for permission, another action that didn't match the monsters usual character.

She never really saw Ajin as her savior or a knight in shining armor. Partially because the creature never acted like one. For the most part it would just leave her to suffer and die. Occasionally over and over again until she could somehow solve the problem on her own. Only one other time did it do something like this. The day it rescued her from that snakes torture.

How easy it would be. To let it kill her attacker and sneak away in the middle of the night. It would be messy but silent. No one would know. Well at least not until the next day at least. She could be far gone by that time. If only...

Logically, she knew she couldn't kill this guy and get away with it. Already within the few days she's been in the village Nanno could tell this guy was important to people here. Over half the people she had met had known him in some way. Even being able to talk the Hokage into potentially exposing future ninja to an unknown threat like herself. He was a pillar of the community. And Ajin had a specific... technique to destroying things. Whether they were inanimate objects or living beings. Anyone would be able to tell whatever slashed down the trees also slashed this man's throat. She knew it would lead back to her. Someone would want her head on a spike for the crime.

"...please...stop." the girls voice cutting the silence.

With that she saw Ajin's hand unwrap around his throat, seeming to disappear.

The sound seemed to shake Kakashi out of his trance like state. His eyes widening at the situation he had created. Releasing the girls throat and leg stepping back allowing the girl to slowly lift herself back up. Small almost unnoticeable tears brimming the corner of her eyes. He couldn't take it.. Knowing he was the cause of them. He couldn't think of anything to say, how to make things better.

Yet... part of him didn't want to apologize. He wasn't sorry for what he did. She was still here with him because of it.

It was for the best.

Deciding to walk towards his room without saying a word. Pausing once he got to the open door.

"... We have a long day tomorrow. You'll be meeting your temporary team for the exam. Try to get some sleep." with that shutting the door, leaving the girl alone in the dark kitchen.

Shaky legs finally giving out, curling into herself on the cold kitchen floor. Adrenaline wearing off leaving her shaking, tired, and debating whether to bawl her eyes out or puke.

"tch." the sudden sound making the girl flinch. Looking up to see Ajin still in the room. She was sure if it had a face it would surely hold a look of disappointment.

"Are you really just that fucking delusional?" her own voice echoed back at her, coming from the ash monster. The only difference being the almost electronic tone morphed in.

She couldn't help but bury her head into her knees, hearing her own words reflected back at her. Silent tears begin to fall, small puddles forming to the tile beneath her.

"Tch. I'm leaving."

A hand flying over to cover her mouth in an attempt to hold back loud heart wrenching sobs, now truly alone.
