"And... I don't really hate strawberries.."
The two had spent the last few minutes silently in each others arms. To say the girl's sudden confession ruined the moment, is an understatement.
"pft... yea, I could have guessed that." Ajin loosened his grip around the girl, allowing them to look at each other. "I'm not a fan of tomatoes, but you don't see me crying about it." the blond lightly teased.
Redness that surrounded forest eyes caught the girl's attention more than the bad joke.
"You cried.." she whispered a small hand moving up to cup his still damp cheek.
A small hum left the boy's lips, not completely sure on how he should reply. He couldn't remember that last time he was so close to another person. As for Nanno, what was only a little over a week felt like an eternity. They both didn't want to part... not just yet.
"I think... I understand how you feel.. so..." his larger hand reached up to lay over hers bringing it closer to his face. "Whenever you feel scared or lonely, just call my name..."
Red eyes basked in the intensity of his forest ones.
Ajin...
"I'll run to you... no matter what.."
Small tears resurfaced, but the girl quickly sniffled them back before nodding.
Suddenly two hands met the girl's face, squeezing her cheeks together, shocking the girl. "Now let's get you washed up! Being this close to you... I thought I was gonna vomit!"
Nanno's eyes widened in disbelief as a dark blush enveloped her whole face. Quickly struggling to create distance between her and the blond. His grip on the girl's face was too tight, keeping her in place.
"You're such a meanie, Ajin!" the girl whined.
"Yea. Yea. At least I don't smell like shit."
"It's not that bad!" The girl brought the yellow fabric up to her face, taking a small whiff, before immediately gagging.
The boy pointed an accusing finger at the girl "See! I told you so!"
She didn't answer, only looking down in embarrassment. A large hand reached down to ruffle her short dark locks as Ajin stood up. "Go run a bath and I'll find something for you to wear."
By the time she looked back up, he was already gone. With a small sigh the girl lifted herself up and walked towards the bathroom she had found earlier. This time avoiding the mirror. Instead, staring down the large tub in front of her with a small faucet head above it. Next to it was a shower head and a small stool. She glanced between the two, confused.
"Eh... what am I supposed to do with this?" Her small bathroom at home held only a toilet, small bucket with a sponge, and faucet that poked out the wall allowing clean water.
Her hand reached for one of the many knobs, deciding to just figure things out on her own. As soon as she turned it the girl was immediately met with a face full of ice cold water. A short screech left her lips before quickly turning it back off. Loud footsteps could be heard before the bathroom door was thrown open.
"Nanno!" green eyes found the now soaked girl, a light blush on her face. "...Nanno... do you not know how to work a shower?"
The blush darkened, choosing not to reply, allowing the pout on her face to speak for her.
