Chapter Fourteen: Thirty minutes of stupid smirks.
_____________________________

Coach dismissed us and the boys ran to the locker room whilst i took my sweet time walking, my muscles weren't sore, it was more like i was just...how do i put this.

Lazy.

And due to my extreme level of laziness i refuse to give in to... long tiring jogs to the locker rooms.

"Hey!"

I jumped as soon as his arm wrapped around my waist,my body automatically jerked away,

"Whoe, look who's jumpy."

I kissed my teeth looking up at Michael, trying to decide between punching him repeatedly or walking away.

Obviously choosing the saner path that didn't involve possibly killing another student I walked away before i could find a brick , he pulled me back gripping my arm,
"What do you want Michael?" He smirked,
"Well, i want to take you to dinner." If it was possible his eyes lit up, as though there were a gigantic steak behind my head.

It was cute that he thought i could ever go to dinner with him after he kissed me without my permission, though the scene vaguely replayed in my mind from time to time it was short of the BOOMCLAP you would want when you decide to let a stolen kiss slide.

"I'm not going out with you."

He pouted like a sad puppy, it almost made me want to give in, the key word being ALMOST.

"Okay then...coffee?" I shook my head again, crossing my arms for effect, he bit his lip probably thinking of ways to rephrase the word date, in my mind any time spent with jim in public counted as a date.

"Listen Mike I'm not going put with you unless it's to improve your foot eye coordination in a game of footy."

With that i turned on my heel and started to walk away, he couldn't decipher my words.

"How about a one on one?" I physically cringed,
"It's not a date."he said and i swear it took all my strength to turn to him,
"What?"

"One hour, just you and me, one on one."
"Why would i help you?" He scratched the back of his neck,
"Not me, but the girls team."

Smart little Michael.

"Thirty minutes only." I growled before walking back into the field with him behind me, the coaches granted us permission and a ball,
"Okay Michael, one on one." I played with the ball between my feet before doing keep ups.

I casually glanced over at Michael, who was watching me curiously,
"Feel free to come get the ball at any given time." He shook his head as though snapping out of a certain thought then ran for the ball.

"Come on Michael, you can run faster than that!"  He caught up after that, tryingt to getthe ballbut failing miserably before he tackled me.

I face planted into the grass and he stood like some sort of hero over my form, with that stupid smirk plastered across his perfectly angular face.

He must be proud, unfortunately he isn't aware that the ground and i are good friends, like good old friends, it's been there since i was a kid whether to help me get my tooth to fall out early or to give me a scratch on the knee.

He held out his hand and i took it not wanting to look like an idiot whom was child like, though that's who i naturally am.

I dodged him at my best, he truely was good at tackles, discreet tackles so to see the tackle coming was a challenge.

Crickets filled the air making that stupid cricket noise that they love so much, Michael held the ball up over his head positioning it over his nose, like a seal,
"What the hell are you doing. " he gaveme a boyish grin,
"Playing with the ball."
"You don't play like that though." He shook his head letting the ball fall nect to his head,
"Hey,Arianna?" I hummed in response,
"Sorry for kissing you." I shrugged the best i could while laying down,
"It's okay, it wasn't completely your fault." He rose an eyebrow at me,
"Well, I'm irresistible i mean with this body and my face i could rule the world, of course you were tempted."

He broke into laughter, which resulted in me elbowing him in the stomach.

"You know I'm right you just can't admit it."

"Yeah, yeah."  We were quiet after that a surprisingly comfortable silence, maybe he was...different, huh.

Was i actually warming up to the cold icecube that is Michael?

I hope not if i do then I'm out of my element, Michael is a bully, i usually beat up bullies not make friends with them.

With that last thought i sat up and ran a hand through my hair, which was now back to half pink and half mystical purple, he watched me stand,

"Thirty minutes were up about two hours ago." I said before turning on my heel, he gripped my hand standing inches away behind me, i swear i could hear my heart excelerated from the thought of what might happen next.

I turned to face him and he had a nervous  smile plastered across his face, i tried to fight the urge to smile back but my face betrayed me, letting my features contort.

He stepped closer, this was like some sort of chick flick moment, it all played  out perfectly, we were alone, in a special place for both of us and the moon was at its peak showcasing the stars.
It was like what you might see if you search soccer couples images on pinterest.

He pulled me closer only slightly his lips inches from his before he tilted my head up slightly and his warm pink lips met mine which were painted maroon, his hands went to mine lacing our fingers as we moved against one another.

I could feel his heart beat excelerated against my chest as we kissed though it wasn't  that  BOOMCLAP  moment I was craving it was strangly close i have to admit he is a good kisser.

He pulled away, planting one final peck on the corner of my lip.

"Please don't say that you didn't concent because you did."

I nodded before walking away i could feel his iron gray gaze linger on my back as i walked away to the change rooms, this was something that definitely will haunt me in my dreams.

Changing back into my jeans black all stars and black Muse band shirt i grabbed blue and left, all the while the storm clouds that had been bunching up all week started to contort even more.
