Chapter Five

Chapter Five: A Joker, Jersey Tale.

Time stood still as I fell and landed in the water.

Once again I had been pushed the question is by who?

All I had to do was get out of the water, the deep blue pool that would never let me escape,it was gorgeous truly gorgeous but it was deadly, causing my demise time and time again.

The feeling of my chest tightening and a slow burn spread through me as my lungs fill with water was so real.
It had me gasp in for air everytime I woke up.

A loud ring hit my ear drums and I shot up my breathing rash and my heart pounding against my rib cage as though trying to escape my body, too bad that was impossible.

I immediately reach for my glasses and put them on then open my nightstand draw and take out all my tablets,and before reading what to take them with or when to take each one I just put one of each into my mouth and swallowed.

Relief washed over me as the panic in my brain began to numb and my subconscious appeared once more.

I got out of bed putting my hair in pigtails and taking a shower it was still dark outside.

Maybe coach knew that most of our team was partying till late yesterday?

Maybe he was torturing them?

Whatever the case at least I could take Blue.

I put on a pair of loose jeans and my blue socks with pizza slices on them, and a black spagetti strap under my favorite Harley Quinn and Joker jersey.

I packed my practice gear in my bag and in the spirit of my pig tails put on my make up with maroon lipstick instead of the usual dark red.

Gripping blue in my hand I made my leave, not before seeing Duncan asleep on the couch.

As always the weather was cold and frosty and at this time only a few students with early lectures roamed campus, the swimmers were in the indoor pool and seeing as the male soccer players hogged the indoor field, it seems us females were going to struggle in the outdoor one

Henry David Florentine university is one of the best universities in the UK filled to the brim with future sports stars.

When I found out I was accepted even after being in juvenile during that time.

I immediately called Zack and his parents bailed me out so I could go and strut my stuff.

It was the first time mum and dad hugged me without it being because I'd hurt myself.

It was the first time Annie wasn't in the spotlight.

The first time I wasn't a freak, but ohh as soon as I thought I was out of her shadow she weasled her way into dad's check book and came along with me.

Even though she's doing psychology and loads of other schools wanted her!

She said no to Harvard and Cambridge just because I was about to be out of her shadow!

Honestly it goes to show how much she really cares about her education.

I got to the out door field as a few other girls did, Supna a girl from India ran up to me as I gripped Blue in my hand,
"So party?" I nod,
"Yeah, not my scene." I smiled at her,
"Once I take you to a club with me it will be so awesome you'll wanna come again." I roll my eyes,
"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Supna furrowed her eyebrows,
"What do you mean?"
"Well Duncan said the exact same thing yesterday." Supna bit her lip in confusion probably trying to recall anyone named Duncan.

Supna was the kind of person that has to know everyone and everything, it's her attention to detail that really annoys yet intrigues me.

Yet it's also why she's a great soccer player and will be a great photographer.

"Don't try to remember who Duncan is it's just a nickname." She nodded as Jordyn joined us, as always she was in an MCR hoodie and jeans with Adidas,
"Morning." I nod her way and she shoves on her headphones,
"We early?"

I nodded and she took out her pocket knife and an apple carving a 'J' into the fruit, she looked up behind me and a grin spread across her face.

"Ari worry!" A grin spread across my face as I turned to Zack the damn basterd remembered my schedule like I knew his, it's kinda cute that he's here seeing as he is meant to sleep a load off today and the dark circles under his eyes only prove my point.

"Zack attack."

We did our secret hand shake and I couldn't help but throw my arms around him, he held onto me.
"It feels like I haven't seen you in ages." I breathe as we hold eachother,
"Me too, we need a sleepover tonight." He said and I pull away,
"Bro your a genius!" He smirked hiding that my loudness was affecting his hangover.

"I know I am,but seriously tonight your staying at my dorm, I can't wait for you to meet Alejandro." I raise an eyebrow at him pushing back his bangs instinctively, we were so close that anyone might have thought we were a couple.

"Who is Alejandro?" His eyes widened, knowing where I was headed.

"Whoe don't get the wrong idea, he's my roommate and he wants to meet the girl on my laptop in my gallery and in the pic on my nightstand." I nod and he hands me a bag of skittles,
"Anyhoo Ari, I value my sleep we both know that so go slay and bye."

He turned and walked away, I smiled missing my best friend already and as soon as I turned away I smelt the ocean and axe, a pair of arms wrapped around my waist and I smiled wider turning back to him, his eyes twinkled with delight.

"You thought I'd leave just like that? Please Ari your my best friend one last hug and a kiss then I can go."

I wrapped my arms around him and we kissed a small kiss on the lips like we always do, a symbol of our friendship.
