Nico
On the bus to school, Nico sat in the back as usual. Percy was only two seats away but, Nico didn't want to seem clingy. They just met, like face to face. Nico sighed and plugged in his black skull headphones playing his all time favorite song, 'Ms. Jackson' by Panic! (Best song in the world). As the song played his eyes closed and after the third verse he flet someone poke him. Nico opened one eye and saw no one other than those blue electric eyes. "Jason, go away" Nico grumbled raising up the volume on the phone. Jason smirked rolling his eyes and pointed to the headphones and shrugged at Nico. Charades... really Grace? 'What song?' Nico translated and said in a low voice, "Ms. Jackson" Jason laughed but Nico didn't hear it over the sound of music. The song ended as Jason began to talk again. "So, is it your favorite song?" He asked and Nico rolled his eyes at the blond. "Jason, why are you even sitting here?" Nico asked him as Jason smiled. "You remind me of Bianca. Lots of attitude, but a smile no one can compare to" Nico rose a brow, why was Jason talking about Bianca? Sure he was her pen pal, but Nico and Jason weren't 'buddies'. "That still doesn't answer my question." Nico replied as Jason shrugged and the bus came to a stop. "Eh, I was bored and this seat was open" He got up and left the bus. Nico rolled his eyes and put his hood up. "Hey Nico" Percy smiled waving to boy. Nico smiled crookedly and waved back. He carried on to art, it was one of his favorite classes.
He ran as fast as he could the bathroom. His muddy foot prints trailing the floor and the rustle of the zippers. When Nico opened the door with his elbow, he was relieved not seeing Percy inside. His rolled up his sleeves and washed his hands of the red paint. As minutes passed Nico heard the door open. "Oh hey Nico..." Percy sighed washing his hands of glass stains and dirt. Nico didn't want to question where Percy got those bruises and cuts. He was too afraid of the answer. "So... What are you doing later today?" Percy asked him as Nico looked up from his red tainted hands. "oh um... nothing really." Nico shrugged as Percy bit his lip nervously. "I.. well you know.. I. Do you maybe, want... want t-to come over m-my house after school?" Percy stuttered as Nico smiled. An afternoon with Percy Jackson? Why not?! "Sure, that'd be awesome" the smaller boy laughed, making Percy's face light up. "Awe-awesome!" Percy stuttered again. Nico giggled lightly at all this stuttering. Someone looks happy. "So, I'll see you at lunch?" Percy asked and Nico nodded smiling. "You know it." Percy laughed and walked outside. Nico sighed and saw book on the counter. 'Crap Percy must have forgotten it' Nico grumbled and ran outside. Only to find empty hallways. "Annnnnd I'm late for class." Nico mumbled to himself. "Awh well, might as well skip. No one knows any way" Nico shrugged going back inside. He sat in the same stall he and Percy hid that one day and opened up the book. He laughed as he read about the fish and awed when he saw the sketches of jellyfish. A few pages were stuck together but Nico didn't bother at them. Probably for the best.
Around lunch Nico waited at the tree and looked through the book again. Nico grinned as he stared at one certain picture. A picture of Percy age possibly 3, face full of blue cake a woman who looked like his mom and a man who was obviously his father. Same sea green eyes, same tanned skin, and same blazing smile. "Hey Nico!" Percy yelled from the building of the gym. "Oh hey Perseus" Nico waved closing the book. Percy's face fell as he walked slowly to Nico, like he was uncertain about his next words. "D-Did you.. Did you read that?" He asked stuttering again. "Yeah. I really liked it! All the fish and stuff!" Nico smiled pointing the pictures. "But there where some pages stuck. I didn't want to break it so I left it." Nico added and soon a wave of relief showed on Percy's face. "Oh thank gods!" Percy sighed out making Nico raise a brow. "Don't worry about it." Perseus laughed and Nico nodded. Soon the wave of confusion was lifted by the name 'Mythomaigc' that Percy had never heard before. Making Nico give a long list of character's, names, rules, and cards. But they were interrupted by a voice that shouted "Yo Perseus!" It was no other than Jason Grace. Nico groaned seeing he had brought the 'gang'. Piper McLean, prettiest girl at school even makes gay boy's like Nico blush, Frank Zhang the transfer from Canada who's the best wrestler the school's ever had since 1987, Hazel Laquses Frank's girlfriend and one of the luckiest girl's ALIVE just last week she survived a car crash, found 100 dollars in the girl's bathroom, and convinced the principal to have a field trip the Great America, and finally Leo Valdez he's head of the robotics club and not to mention BI. Once Nico toke a liking for him only to find out he's a player. Long story short, it made Leo owe Nico BIG time. "Perseus, right? And Nico Di Angelo?" Piper asked as Nico nodded no expression on his face while Percy looked like he was secretly panicking. "We were just wondering if you wanted to hang out after school. I've been wanting to meet you two for a while now" Hazel said though it was hard to hear because she whispered. "Yeah, I've been meaning to ask you Nico, if you still take a liking to Mythomagic." Frank nodded a smile on his face. Nico's face paled a bit and he shoved his hands in his pockets. "I- I don't know... Percy and I have plans" Nico stated and Percy looked at him worriedly. "Well, if you want, you can have my number" Jason said confused at Nico's unsteady voice. "Sure, that'd be best" Percy injected taking out his phone with a trident on the blue case. As Jason filled in his number Percy shifted uneasy at Hazel's gaze. Something wasn't right.
After school, Nico went over to Percy house again. But on the way, Nico made Percy stop walking to his house. "Why?" Percy asked as Nico opened the door slowly. "I got to get something. Wait here" Nico replied running inside. After about 2 minutes Nico came out with a box and closed the door. "Come on! I want to show you!" the younger boy smiled. He acted differently, like a little boy again. As Percy opened the door to his three bedroom apartment, Nico ran to the table and set up his stuff. "What is this stuff?" Percy asked picking up a figure that looked like Zeus. "Mythomagic" Nico said putting up pieces and dealing cards. "Cool" Percy stated smiling at all the fun Nico was having. After 4 rounds of the game Percy lost by Nico every single time. "Damn. Your good" He laughed as Nico laughed silently. "I guess. I learn from the best" he smiled staring at the Hades figure. Percy had been playing Poseidon the whole time. Saying that Zeus was to big of role. Soon it was 4:00 and Percy ran to the laptop on his couch. "What are you doing?" Nico asked him as Percy typed rapid fast. "I need to talk to Annabeth." He replied logging in. His skype name was Seaweed_Brain and I laughed. "Nice name" Nico retorted as he shrugged. "Eh I couldn't think of anything else." He smiled clicking on call on the user called 'WiseGirl' "That's Annabeth?" Nico asked him as Percy nodded. "Oh by the way, don't really believe everything Annie tells you. She's crazy" Percy replied laughing as I nodded. Soon a screen came up and a girl with blond wavy hair, a crazy ponytail, orange shirt with CHB on it, grey eyes, and a lot of colors on his bead necklace. Kinda like the on Percy wore. "Hi Annie!" Percy smiled waving at the girl. "Hey homo!" She laughed smiling. "Who's that? Your boyfriend?" she asked making Nico blushed lightly. "N-NO! This.. This i-is Nico.. you know the one from the bathroom" He stuttered blushing rather more than Nico. "Oh right! Hey Nico!" she smiled waving at him. Nico waved back confused and whispered "Hey" "So anything I should know about homo?" She asked and Percy thought, "Well, not really. Except that I did mange to get Jason's number. I guess that's news?" He thought sticking his thumb in his mouth. Annabeth laughed and wiggled her eyebrows. "Well when you think about it. It is for you!" she smirked and Percy rolled his eyes. "Whatever blondie." He grumbled and she laughed again. "Whatever homo! Well I got to go! Talk to later!" She smiled and the call ended. "Well that was... interesting.." Nico laughed lightly. Percy bit his lip and sighed. "Like I said. She's crazy"
