-September 14, Monday-
"Huh? Yeah. . .I'm good." Yoongi replied. "I'm just tired."
"Anyways, what happened at the dorms Yoongi? Was Jungkook being rude to you? Did he insult you?" Jimin asked, bombarding Yoongi with questions.
"N-no! Not at all. . .he was actually pretty nice to me." Yoongi fibbed, playing with his lunch, jajangmyeon.
"Oh really?" Jimin said, the sarcasm in his voice clearly being heard. "Then what did he say?"
"Can we just, talk about something else right now?" Yoongi mumbled, avoiding Jimin's question.
Hoseok, Jimin, and Taehyung all knew that something was wrong. That something had upset Yoongi. They looked at each other wearily, not knowing what to do.
"Okay, Yoongi. I know that we 'just met' but I can tell something is definitely wrong." Taehyung spoke up, watching Yoongi expressionlessly look at the floor.
"I'm glad you all are worried about me, but nothing is wrong guys. Like I said, I'm just a little tired." Yoongi assured the other three.
"Let's change the topic then. How about you guys ask me questions to get to know me better? Since I'm probably gonna be around Jimin a lot more." Taehyung admitted.
"Hm, well, what grade are you in?" Hoseok asked.
"I'm in twelfth grade, a senior."
"Oh really? Hoseok and me are too!" Jimin commented. "Yoongi over here is in eleventh grade, he's a junior."
"Ah, okay then. When's your birthdays? Mine is on December 30th." Taehyung babbled, continuing their conversation.
"My birthday is on February 18th." Hoseok answered.
"October 13." Jimin quipped.
"Mine is on March 9th." Yoongi replied, finally taking a bite of his lunch.
"So, I guess we're all friends now? Especially Jimin, he's my soulmate." Taehyung added, smiling. "And boyfriend."
Jimin blushed at those words.
"So, this might be kinda rude but um, you two are both males." Hoseok stated. "Isn't that. . ."
"We know, we know. Who cares if there are homophobic assholes who hate us for being together because we're the same sex. We're soulmates, and we always will be." Taehyung said, matter-of-factly. Hugging Jimin tightly.
Yoongi wished Jungkook could say that, but it was the complete opposite.
Don't say we're soulmates okay? We were never soulmates, and we never will be. Those words echoed in the back of Yoongi's mind.
"I-I'm sorry guys, I need— I just need some space right now." Yoongi uttered, briskly running out of the cafeteria, leaving the other three perplexed.
Yoongi tried to slow his breathing, calming himself down in the empty hallway. He felt like crying again, yet he didn't. He wanted to stay strong. So nobody could see how much he was hurting on the inside.
Yoongi gradually made his way to the bathroom, washing his face of with cold water when he got there.
He looked in the mirror, mumbling incoherent words about himself.
What am I supposed to do now? I just ran out of there. I can't just go back saying, alright I'm okay now. Yoongi thought. Maybe I should take a while to recollect myself. He thought about just going back to his dorm room for the rest of lunch, even though he left his lunchbox there. But he knows Hoseok or Jimin will take it to give back to him.
So Yoongi walked through the hallways, looking at the floor, going back to his dorm room when he suddenly bumped into someone.
Yoongi looked up and saw a tall male student that he did not recognize at all. The student wore his school uniform, sending an impatient glare to Yoongi.
"O-oh, I'm s-sorry. I wasn't p-paying attention to where I was going." Yoongi instantly gasped, apologizing as he bowed his head down a bit before quickly speed-walking away, only to be held back by the unfamiliar student who got a hold of Yoongi's wrist.
"I've been looking for you princess. Min Yoongi, isn't it? Remember me baby boy?" The student asked, getting a little too close to Yoongi.
Yoongi couldn't think of anything. "N-no, who are you?"
"I feel hurt, I can't believe you've already forgotten me. Don't you remember? At the spring fair?"
Yoongi looked up at the tall student, fear in his eyes, suddenly remembering as he recognized the student's voice. "Y-you! G-get away from me! I-I don't want to be anywhere near you!"
"Tsk, rude much? Why don't you dress up like that again? Be all pretty, just for me. I want to see you in that skirt again like the slut you are." The student, Kwan-Sik whispered, walking closer to Yoongi as he pushed him against a wall.
"No! Stop! Go away!" Yoongi yelled, kicking Kwan-Sik in the crotch before running away as fast as he could.
"Agh, fucking slut! Get back here!" Kwan-Sik angrily shouted.
Yoongi didn't dare look back as he ran up the steps and headed to his dorm room.
