Drunken Mistake

Uncle Archie Now Knows

Betty POV:

I walk down the hallways and finally see Ronnie talking to Archie, I rush up to her and apologize to Archie for interrupting but I really needed to talk to her and I couldn't wait another minute. 

"What's wrong B?" She asks as I drag her far away enough for anyone to hear us. 

"He knows" I said to her and she furrows her eyebrows as to what I was talking about "Who knows what Betty?" She asks as she looks at me waiting for me to answer. 

"Jughead. He knows about the baby" I say to her and she widens her eyes once I finish my sentence "H-How?" She stutters out as she looks at me, I begin to pace back and fourth as I begin to wonder the same thing, How does he know? 

"I-I don't know, I was looking for you when suddenly he pushes me into a janitors closet . At first he insulted me then I insulted him back but as I was about to walk out he asks me how far along I am" I say to her as I continue to pace back and fourth. "Am I showing already or something? Because I thought I still looked the same I mean, fuck" I say to her as I run my hands through my hair thinking of what else he could have possibly meant but nothing comes to my mind. 

"Okay B you have to calm down okay? All this stress isn't good for the baby" She says to me when suddenly we hear Archie's voice from behind her.

"Baby? What baby?" He asks making Veronica widen her eyes, both me and her turn to look at him and he's looking at us in confusion "Betty are you pregnant?" He asks and I gulp loudly and begin to breathe heavily. His eyes drop down to my stomach then back to my eyes as he waits for one of us to answer him. 

I look over at Veronica then back at him and exhale a breath "Yes Archie, I am" I say to him nervously. 

"Uhm, wow" He says "Wh-whose the father?" He asks and I stay quiet secretly hoping that he doesn't put two and two together but then his eyes widen and I realize that he's already figured it out "It's Jugheads isn't it" He asks but it comes out more as a statement than a question. 

"Archie, you already know the answer to that" I say to him as tears begin to prick out of my eyes "I mean you know Jugheads been the only guy I've slept with" 

"I'm going to fucking kill him" He mutters to himself, dragging a hand down his face, turning around quickly and begins to walk away but I quickly look at Veronica and realize that he's about to look for Jughead but I run up to him and pull him back towards me, grabbing ahold of his arm "Archie, please don't. He doesn't know" I say to him as I continue to beg him to not say anything. 

"You haven't told him!?" He growls out at me 

"No, No I haven't"  I respond quickly. 

"And why the fuck not? He needs to step up and take care of you and his baby" He says as he looks down at my stomach then back up at me "You're carrying his fucking child Betty! Fucker needs to step up for both you and that baby you're carrying!" He then grits out 

"Archie can you please be quiet! Listen I can't just go up to him and tell him that I'm having his baby, especially now that he's back with Toni" I say trying desperately to reason with him, Archie scoffs at my reaction and continues to run his hand through his hair "I honestly don't give a fuck about his relationship with Toni, Betty all I fucking care about is that both of you and the baby are taken care of. I can't believe that you're willing to let him get away with this especially after everything he's put you through Betty. "He states.

Then suddenly Veronica stands in between us facing Archie "Please Archie you need to seriously chill and calm down all of this isn't good for both Betty and the baby, if you really want to help then walk away and we'll talk later. Preferably without an audience" She says making both me and Archie look over at the people who are looking at us, thankfully none of them were Toni or Jughead. 

"Fine! But we're talking about this after school" He growls out then walks off, hitting one of the lockers with his hand as he's walking down the hall. 

"You okay?" Veronica asks me and I simply nod my head yes, looking down at my feet and gripping the straps of my backpack. "Come on, let's get you some food. I know you must be starving, I read that pregnant woman should eat at least 2,000 calories a day and I doubt you've had that so lets go" She says to me and i quickly look up at her and smile wide "You read about pregnancy?" I asked her 

"Uh duh, it is my job to make sure you and this baby stay completely healthy and I'll make sure to do just that" She says to me as we walk towards the cafeteria as we laugh. 

Jughead POV:

"Jones, where's your mind at dude?" I hear Sweet Pea ask me, snapping me out of my thoughts but as I was going to answer I see Betty walking in with Veronica. I follow her with my eyes and once again rake my eyes down her beautiful body, a body I'd love to get my hands back on. 

I keep my eyes on her as she waits in the lunch line and begin thinking to what I asked her this morning and that's when I begin to notice how she's constantly rubbing her stomach. If she's pregnant then I know for a fact that baby is mine, and if she's carrying my baby then Betty Cooper is mine. I continue to look at her, not bothering to listen to anything Sweet Pea or Fangs are saying until someone slams their books on the table snapping me out of my lust faze. Taking my attention off Betty and onto them. 

"Toni what the fuck!" I growl out. 

"I've been here for two minutes and you haven't bothered to even look at me" She says to me as she tries to see what I was looking at but thankfully Betty and veronica are already sitting down with Cheryl and Josie. 

"Look just because we're back together doesn't mean we have to spend every minute of every day together" I say to her and she scoffs quickly standing up and walking away. Usually I'd go after her but right now I have more important things to handle and the main one is finding out whether Betty Cooper is carrying my child.
