Daddy Says The Truth

Jughead POV:

"You wh-what?" Toni stutters out trying to process the words that just fell out of my mouth and as I scan the room I see every serpent looking in my direction, looking just as shocked as Toni.

"I said I love her. So everyone listen up!" I begin to yell "Betty Cooper is carrying my baby, MINE! So if any one of you so much as glares in her way, you'll be answering to me. You got it" I say and just as I finish every one nods their head in understanding except for Toni.

"Congrats man" I hear Fangs say to me, patting my shoulder.

"Thanks" I simply reply. Turning back around trying to avoid another confrontation with Toni but I could still feel her eyes on me and know she won't stop so I simply turn to Sweet Pea who is finishing up his beer "Wanna grab a burger?" I ask him. 

"I could eat" He replies, quickly standing up and following me as we shove Toni to the side and walking out of the bar and straight to our bikes riding off towards Pops so I can try and clear my head and begin thinking about how I can prove to Betty that she was never my second choice and that Toni was only a safe haven for me. 

We get to Pops and walk inside without saying a word to each other and sit down. "So you love her huh?" Sweet Pea then says breaking the comfortable silence we were in, well silence I was actually enjoying since I could hear myself think. 

"You aren't going to let that go are you?" I ask him as I release a small chuckle. 

"Nope, I've been waiting for you to admit your feelings towards Cooper and I'm glad you finally did" Sweet Pea responds. "Now what I'm wondering is what are you going to do about it?" 

I look over at him and raise an eyebrow "That's what I've been thinking about" I reply to him. I hear the Pops bell ring and I don't bother looking back until Sweet Pea nods his head towards the door making me look back and see Betty walking in with Veronica and Kevin. 

Betty POV:

"So let me get this straight, you told Reggie you don't want to go out with him because you have feelings towards Jughead, yet you won't make a move on Jughead because you don't want to what?" Veronica asks me as we drive towards Pops. 

"Because I don't want to feel like the second choice Ronnie, that's why" I snap at her, telling her for like the fifth time. 

"But he clearly said that he knocked you up because he wants you to stick around, you not Toni" Kevin adds. 

"Okay but I feel like there's more to this story and he said stick around not be his girlfriend" I tell them, sighing in frustration "Can we not talk about Jughead" I say to them. Pulling up to Pops. 

"Okay, well remember you have an appointment on Friday, do you want me to still go with you since Jughead and your mom are going?" Veronica asks me. 

"Offended! I want to go to" Kevin then says to me.

"Of course I want you both to come, my mom can't make it since she has a conference she needs to go to this weekend and plus, you have been there since the start Ronnie." I say to her. 

We get out of the car and go into Pops and once we do, my eyes land on a certain Raven haired guy that I want nothing but to get my mind off of. I see him looking at me and I quickly look away and slide into a booth across from Kevin and V. 

"If you're trying to avoid Jughead, it isn't working because he's making his way over here now" Veronica whispers to me, I widen my eyes and snap my head back and realize that Veronica is right, since both Jughead and Sweet Pea are making their way over to us now. 

"oh and he's bringing that feisty sexy serpent along with him" Veronica whispers flirtatiously 

"Aren't you with Archie?" Kevin asks but before she could reply both Jughead and Sweet Pea stand before our booth looking down at us. "Hey, can we talk?" Jughead asks me and I nod my head slowly, and getting up I see him extending his hand out for me so I grab onto it and use it to help me stand up. 

"You guys don't mind right?" Jughead asks suddenly looking over at Kevin and Veronica, they nod there head no eagerly and trying to contain their smiles as they nod. I roll my eyes and look up at Jughead who is already looking down at me with a smile. 

"Come on" He then says walking away from the booth I was just in and heading outside. 

"So what did you want to talk about?" I ask him 

He sighs as he looks down running his hands through his hair "I didn't really wanna talk about anything I just wanted to get you alone" He says to me and I blush at the fact that all he really wanted was to be with me. I bite back a smile and look down at my feet when suddenly Jughead's combat boots come into sight. I rake my eyes slowly up towards his face and see him closer than I thought he would be. 

"There is something I need to tell you before someone else tells you" He says to me, making me worried a bit. 

"Wh-what is i-its?" I ask him with a stutter feeling nervous. I see Jughead gulp loudly and can see him struggling to find the words to say to me, he grabs my hands and sighs "In order to become Serpent King, I needed to get Toni pregnant" He says to me "But instead I chose you" 

I dropped his hands and take a step back as I look at him, feeling tears coming down my cheeks "You asshole!" I grit out angrily
