Drunken Mistake

Welcome Jordan

Narrator POV:

Betty nervously looks up at the bright lights as the nurse walks Jughead back into the operating room and gestures for him to sit besides Betty's head. "Hey" He simply says with a nervous smile as he takes a seat on a stool besides her and places a kiss onto her temple making her smile and for a second she's able to forget about the situation they're currently in. When she first found out she was pregnant, she'd never thought that this would end up happening. Dr. Scott had told her that little Jordan was starting to get tired and was unable to get out on his own and if they didn't act quickly then both Betty and Jordan could lose their lives. Betty looks up at Jughead, letting out a single tear "If anything goes wrong, I want you to pick the baby's life over mine" She whispers out, Jughead widens his eyes and lowers his head down to her "That isn't going to happen baby, you me and Jordan are going to walk out of here together" Jughead replies and for some reason, Betty believes him. 

"Okay Betty..." Doctor Scott begins, grabbing their attention "I'm about to begin, now you will feel intense pressure but that's about it okay?" 

Betty simply nods her head and closes her eyes nervously as she lets out a shaky breath. She looks over at Jughead who is giving her a nervous smile and suddenly Betty feels a pressure just like Doctor Scott said but it doesn't hurt, she's simply nervous. Betty looks back up at the lights "Pea, please keep him safe" She whispers to herself, lowly so she could only be the only one to hear it. She lets out another tear waiting for anyone to say anything but the room stays completely silent when suddenly, Jughead stands up in a hurry "Here he is" Doctor Scott says and instantly the room is filled with Jordan's little cries making Betty giggle in amusement, she looks over at Jughead and see's the way he is looking at their son in complete awe "He's perfect Betty" He says to her as he turns his attention to her, a bright and wide smile placed on his face, leaning down to give her a kiss "You go with him, where ever he goes, you go" She says to him and he doesn't fight her on this and nods his head in agreement. 

She watches as Jughead follows the nurse who has  a crying Jordan in her hands as she takes him to get cleaned up and get his weight. 

Jughead looks down at his son and helps the nurse clean him up but as soon as Jordan's eyes land on his father, he stops crying. Almost as if he knew who he was. "9 lbs 2 oz, he's a big boy" The nurse tells both Betty and Jughead as she wraps the little boy in a blanket after he's cleaned up and quickly puts on a blue beanie and hands him over to the new father. Jughead quickly holds onto Jordan as if his life depended on it and felt his heart beat faster and instantly falling in love with his son. Jughead slowly makes his way to where Doctor Scott is closing Betty and leans down to show Betty their son. "Look it here Jordan, this is mommy" He says to the baby boy as he leans forward to show Betty. 

"He's beautiful" She says in a chocked voice, leaning forward the best she could so she could place a kiss on his cheek "You were worth everything baby boy" She whispers to him, not being able to wipe the smile off her face and neither can Jughead. Once Doctor Scott finished with Betty, they wheeled her bed into recovery as they left the new parents alone so they could bond with their son as well as feed him. 

"How does it feel?" Jughead asks clearly amused to watch his son latching onto Betty's nipple. Betty rolls her eyes playfully and looks back down at Jordan who is clearly going into town "He's clearly your son" Is all she responds, earning her a chuckle from Jughead "He sure is" He replies. 

"He looks like you Jug' She then adds. Jughead keeps his eyes on his son and gets lost at the sight of his new little family "Yeah he does, I love you" 

Betty looks back over at him and leans her head onto the pillow, clearly tired but she manages to keep that smile on her face "i love you too Jughead, everything that we went through was worth it" She says. 

"It sure was" Is all Jughead replies.

"Are you ready for visitors?" Jughead asks Betty as he holds onto Jordan. 

"I'm so tired but I know everyone is dying to meet him" She replies, leaning down onto the pillow. Jughead smiles down at her and gives her a kiss. "You know motherhood really suits you, it's sexy on you" He tells her making her laugh in amusement, wondering how Jughead is the only one who makes her feel like she's the most beautiful woman in the planet despite knowing that she must look like complete shit right now "Thank you, you always know what to say" She replies to him. 

"You don't need to thank me, I just say what I see and what I see when I look at you is pure perfection" Jughead says to her, giving her another kiss only this time their lips stay connected but pull away when someone clears their throat, grabbing their attention "It is way too soon to make me a grandma again, especially since I haven't gotten the chance to meet my first grandchild" Alice spits out with a smile on her face. 

"Mom!" Betty shouts with a playful expression on her face. Alice walks into the room and gives Betty a hug and a kiss "Let me see him" She then says making grabby hands to Jughead so he could hand over the little boy that's in his hands, instantly Alice makes a coo sound so he doesn't wake up and begins to rock him back and fourth "he's the absolute cutest" Alice tells them, not daring to take her eyes off the little boy she's been waiting to meet. 

"Where's my dad?" Jughead asked as he sits besides Betty on the bed. 

"Oh he went to the restroom real quick, he should be here any second" Alice replies, still not taking her eyes away from Jordan. Betty looks over at them and smiles but lays her head on Jughead trying her hardest not to fall asleep since she wants to witness everything and not miss a thing. 

"How are you feeling sweetheart?" Alice then asks her. 

"I'm okay, just a bit sore" Betty replies weakly and in that instant F.P walks in with a teddy bear and some balloons as well as some fresh flowers for Betty "Where's my boy!?" He asks with a grin on his smile as he walks inside and straight to Betty and Jughead. "Congratulations" He says to Betty as he pulls her in for a hug but makes sure he doesn't hurt her. "These are for you" He says to his favorite and only daughter in law as he hands her the bouquet of roses "And this is for my little man" He states raising up the balloons and the teddy bear as he walks over to Alice who is still currently holding Jordan, the newest addition to both the Jones and the Coopers. 

"Let me hold him Alice, you had enough time already" F.P whines making both Betty and Jughead laugh as the new grandparents fight over their son. Alice slaps F.P's hand away and moves to the side carefully "No, wait your turn. I literally just got him out of your son's arms" She protests. 

Betty lets out a happy sigh as she once again leans her head onto Jugheads shoulder "You good?" Jughead asks her as he looks down at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and lays down completely on the side of her. "Yeah, I'm more than good" She replies to him, pulling him in for a kiss while their parents continue to fight over Jordan.
