Drunken Mistake

Mommy is Hurt

Betty POV:

As the bell rung, Veronica, Kevin and Archie all met up with us and sat with us and began talking while I stood quiet. I laid my head on Reggie's shoulder once again since I was feeling a bit out of it making him wrap his arm around my shoulder making me close my eyes.

"Betty are you okay? You look a little pale." Kevin asks me as he looks over at me making everyone in the group look over at me. 

"Uh yeah I just feel a bit overwhelmed, nothing to worry about" I reassure them but Veronica doesn't seem so convinced since she keeps her eyes on me. "I'm going to go to the bathroom" I mutter out and try my best to stand up when suddenly I feel the room spinning around so instead I sat back down with Reggie's arm around me to keep me from falling forward. 

"Betty I think we should take you home or take you to see the nurse, you don't look so good" Veronica then says quickly standing up from where she was sitting but before I could agree, I hear Jughead. 

"Well, well what do we have here?" Jughead says in a sarcastic tone as he walks up to us with Sweet Pea following closely behind him, I really don't bother since I'm feeling a little too out of place.

"Jones, not now please" Reggie says to him making Jughead scoff but before he could retort in any way I try once again to stand up and suddenly all I see is black and both Veronica's and Jugheads calls for me in echoes. 

Jughead POV:

"Betts! Betts!" I call out to her as I take her in my arms once she collapsed. I don't think twice and quickly pick her up and running her outside but mentally slap myself when I realize I brought my bike and not the truck but suddenly I hear Veronica coming from behind me with her keys out on her hand "Come on, we'll take her in my car" She simply says and I don't budge quickly following her. 

I place Betty in the back seat and get in the front while Veronica gets in the drivers seat quickly taking off without even saying a word to each other, Betty and my baby are the only important ones right now. 

We get to the hospital and I instantly get out going in the back to get Betty out of the car while Veronica runs inside to let them know that we're about to come in and about Betty's pregnancy. Once I run into the hospital with Betty in my arms, a group of nurses come towards me with a gurney urging me to place her on it. I hesitate at first since I'm afraid to let her go out of my sight but I know I have to if I want her to be okay so ultimately I place her on the gurney and watch them take her towards the back. 

I run my hands through my hair quickly taking my beanie off and begin pacing back and fourth while Veronica tries to get a hold of her mom. 

"So, I got a hold of her mom and says she'll be here as quickly as she can" Veronica says to me but she continues to glare at from the side making me angry. 

"WHAT!" I growl out to her in both annoyance and anger. 

"If only you treated her right and not like some object she'd be perfectly fine but no you had to stress her out" She then says to me rolling her eyes in the process. 

"You think I wanted this? You think I wanted my girl and my baby back there wondering what's wrong with them? If they're okay?' I say to her as I stand up straight looking at her. 

"Your girl? do you hear yourself? No wonder Betty is so confused by you right now. You call her your girl yet the girl who holds that title isn't her it's her so called best friend. Make up your damn mind because this isn't funny, it never has been. You and her need to sit down and talk shit out, seriously there's a fucking baby on the way now and you both need to act like adults more so, you." She says turning around and walking off, taking a seat in one of the chairs inside of the waiting room.

Within the next few minutes I see Alice, Betty's mom running into the hospital and going straight to the nurses station to ask for Betty, Veronica quickly runs over to her as well as me. 

"Anything?" I hear Veronica ask her and Betty's mom simply shakes her head no then turns to look at me furrowing her eyebrows "And you are?" She asks, great, Betty didn't tell her I was the father. I swallow loudly feeling nervous as my palms begin to sweat when suddenly Betty's mom nods her head in understanding "You're the father aren't you" She says to me. 

I nod my head yes "Well alright then I'm glad to see you here" Is all she says before the doctor comes out asking for Betty's relatives. We head towards his direction and wait for him to tell us what's going on. 

"How is she?" Betty's mom asks in worry. 

"She's fine, she just needs to take it easy and like I said to her she needs to eat and rest." He says to us. 

"And the baby?" I quickly ask making Veronica and Betty's mom look over at me in shock but with smiles on their faces. 

"Are you the father?" He asks me and I nod my head yes. "Well we're about to do an ultrasound if you'd like to come with me" He says guiding me towards the back, all I do is nod and follow him without saying a word to them. 

He takes me to where Betty is and right before the technician begins. 

"You don't mind do you?" I ask her as I lean on the doorway. 

"No, you can come in and watch" She replies. I smile wide and sit beside her as the ultrasound tech begins to do the ultrasound. I look at the screen as the tech shows us our little baby. 

"That's our baby" I say in a low tone but loud enough for her to hear it. 

"Yeah Jug, thats our baby" Betty replies. I sit up and take a hold of her hand, placing a kiss on it as we continue to look at our baby and listen to its heartbeat which by far is my favorite little melody.
