Warning: There will be gore.

It all happened so quickly, so suddenly.

Raging thunder and then abrupt silence.

💮💮💮

I woke up to the sun blaring on my face.

I felt completely horrible. I was dehydrated, tired, and had a throbbing pain in my leg.

I opened my eyes and pulled up the skirt of my dress to better assess the wound. Tears started to flow out of my eyes as I looked at the wound. A piece of wood was embedded in my right thigh, my thigh felt like it was on fire.

I moved into a sitting position and I looked around and saw bits and pieces of the boat around me.

I stood up on my left leg and started to search through the wreckage. I wonder if the others are here to.

I looked around the entire wreckage and saw none of the gang.

I wiped the tears from my eyes as I looked for salvageable things from the wreckage. I walked over and found some dried meats and fruits. I pulled all my findings in a pile and took out my knife from my purse that I surprisingly still had. I cut away the long skirt of my dress until it went to my upper knee.

I grabbed the cutaway fabric and split it into two pieces. As I was about to take a bite of the meat I saw something that was shiny in the sand. I crawled over to the object and picked it up. It was a silver spoon. It frowned as I knew what I had to do.

I started a small fire, got some water, and started to heat the spoon. I looked to my wound sadly.

In a swift movement, I pulled out the wood with a shriek. I grimaced and tears pooled in my eyes.

I looked at the wound, it was dripping blood at an alarming rate. I poured the saltwater over the wound as I held back my scream.

I picked up the spoon and frowned, "I have to do this."

 💮💮💮

I started to limp around the island looking for any of the others. My leg was still throbbing but it was better than having a piece of wood in it. I had used the rest of the fabric to make a makeshift bag for the rest of the food that I had found.

After limping for a few minutes I saw a body in the distance. I raced over and looked at the body.

It was Arthur

I smiled as I teared up, I finally found somebody. I looked at his chest and it seemed to be rising and falling at a calm rate.

In an attempt to wake him up I started to gently pat his face. "Arthur, wake up."
