Jeno heard the doorbell ring from where he was upstairs in his room. He groaned as he got up from where he was sitting and looked at the time. 

11:00

Who in their right mind would be ringing on people's doors this late at night? If he was being honest, he didn't plan on going to sleep anytime soon, but that didn't mean that he wanted to be bothered.

Jeno dragged himself down the stairs and made his way to the front door. All these thoughts immediately changed when he saw Renjun on the other side, wearing only a short sleeved t-shirt and a pair of loose sweatpants. The small boy was shivering, seeing as it was snowing outside, and his arms were wrapped around himself as an effort to try and keep himself warm.

"Renjun! What are you doing outside!?" Jeno asked hurriedly and immediately pulled Renjun into his house closing the door.

"I'm sorry, I just wanted to be with someone," Renjun answered quietly. Jeno looked at Renjun and noticed his slightly red and puffy eyes. He looked like he had been crying.

"Are you okay?" asked Jeno, his tone of voice immediately becoming softer.

Renjun nodded, but Jeno noticed a few tears running down Renjun's face. Jeno stared gently at the small boy and slowly pulled him into a hug. Renjun's arms still felt as cold as ice.

Jeno took Renjun's hand and led him upstairs to his room. Jeno went to his closet and quickly grabbed a soft yellow hoodie for Renjun to wear, sitting down next to him on the bed. He watched as Renjun slipped it over his head. the hoodie fell over the small boy easily, being way too big for him, but Renjun immediately fell into its warmth and Jeno's sweet scent. 

"are you okay? you can talk to me if you want," Jeno offered. He was obviously still confused as to what happened, but Jeno didn't question it and wrapped an arm around Renjun's small body instead.

Renjun hesitated a second before speaking. "I'm really sorry for bothering you this late, it's not even that big of a problem," he said quietly.

"it's okay," Jeno said in response and waited for the latter to continue.

Renjun took a deep breath before speaking. "I didn't have the best life in china. I didn't have any friends, my parents were nice to me but they only cared about my academics and never let me do anything I wanted. Which might've been part of the reason I wasn't comfortable around other people, and I got bullied for that. So they decided to send me to Korea. My first few weeks here were rough, but still better than what I had in China. And ever since that night in the alley, I've had everything I've ever wanted. The most amazing group of friends ever, and I get to enjoy my own hobbies." Renjun said. 

"I'm just scared I'm going to lose it all," he added quietly after a little while.

Jeno smiled to himself before speaking. "Renjun, I can't speak for the others, but I can promise you right now, I'm not going to leave you," he said softly, trying to get Renjun to meet his eyes. 

Hearing this made Renjun smile. "really?"

Jeno nodded. "of course," He took his hand and brushed it across Renjun's face, wiping away some of the tears. "I bet the others will think the same thing. we're the dreamies remember?"

Renjun laughed softly. "Thank you, Jeno."

Jeno nodded again and took this moment to admire Renjun. The boy really was the definition of beautiful and Jeno felt the butterflies rising in his stomach once again.

Renjun looked up at Jeno and their eyes met. Even though Renjun had been crying earlier, at this moment Jeno felt like he could see the stars in Renjun's eyes as if they were sparkling.

"Jeno, I really like you," Renjun whispered softly. 

Jeno was stunned. and didn't know what to say.

"really?" he asked.

"I know you probably don't feel the same, I just needed to get that off my chest," said Renjun, but he was cut off when he felt Jeno lean in and place a gentle kiss on Renjun's lips. 

"I like you too, baby."

This time it was Renjun's turn to be shocked. Hearing Jeno's soft voice made Renjun's heart flutter. Renjun felt Jeno move his arm around Renjun's small waist as their lips connected once more. Jeno cupped Renjun's face gently as their lips moved in sync. Almost as if they were made for each other. Renjun's arms rested gently on Jeno's shoulders, and he could feel Jeno smiling gently into the kiss before both of them pulled apart. 

Renjun smiled and slowly opened his eyes. 

"can you stay here with me tonight?" Jeno asked.

Renjun nodded. "of course," he answered before falling back onto the bed.

Jeno laughed at the other's cuteness as he quickly got ready for bed and then joined Renjun.

"goodnight Jeno," Renjun whispered.

"goodnight baby," Jeno replied before closing his eyes and drifting off into a dream filled slumber.
