Renjun opened his eyes slowly as they adjusted to the brightness of the room. Everything that had happened last night came flooding back to him.
that had to be a dream, right?
his questions were answered when he felt two strong arms holding him tightly around his waist. Renjun sighed. He had spent most of yesterday afternoon pacing back and forth in his room. The boy had a tendency to worry or overthink everything which was what led him to this position. Him sleeping in Jeno's bed, with Jeno currently back hugging him softly.
Renjun reached over the counter to reach for his phone, but realized that it wasn't there. Instead, he decided to reach for Jeno's phone just to check the time.
seeing it, Renjun cursed mentally. How could it already be ten o'clock? Had he really overslept that much? School had started two hours ago!
"what's wrong kitten?"
The sudden voice startled Renjun, making him jump ever so slightly.
"Jeno, It's ten o'clock already," he said after calming down.
Jeno just smiled to himself, seeming neither worried nor bothered by the fact that they were missing school right now. Slowly he began to place soft kisses down the side of Renjun's neck as an attempt to cheer the boy up.
"We can skip school today," Jeno suggested.
"what?" Renjun replied in shock.
"it's already late. We can take today off and enjoy our first official date," Jeno said. His voice sounded deep and raspy, like he hadn't fully woken up yet. But this made Renjun go crazy, and he could feel his heart immediately speed up.
Renjun turned around to face Jeno, taking in his handsome features. "I can't," he said softly.
Jeno pouted. "why not?"
Renjun paused. His parents would definitely send him back to China if they realized he was skipping classes. Renjun wouldn't ever be able to earn their full trust again.
"Your parents don't have to know. I can tell Jaemin to tell the office that you're sick." Jeno said, as if he could read Renjun's mind.
Renjun bit his lip, thinking about everything that could possibly go wrong. But after taking one look at Jeno, he eventually agreed which caused Jeno's eyes to light up immediately.
"come on! I'll let you wear one of my hoodies," Jeno said excitedly. He kissed Renjun on the lips quickly before heading to his closet to grab something for Renjun to wear.
Renjun smiled. was it really possible that this much had changed in the matter of one night? He felt like he was living in a dream right now.
After a few minutes, Jeno came back with a pair of his old black jeans and a baby pink hoodie for Renjun to wear.
"I didn't know lee Jeno owned anything like this," Renjun said teasingly as he looked at the hoodie in Jeno's hands.
Jeno just rolled his eyes and passed the outfit to Renjun. "go put it on," he said, "or do you want me to put it on for you?" he asked smirking.
Hearing this, Renjun immediately ran off to the bathroom to change. Slipping on the pants and the hoodie as well. The pants were a little big on Renjun, but wearable, despite the fact that they were Jeno's old pants which he had outgrown a fairly long time ago. The hoodie was far too large for Renjun, hanging down all the way past his mid-thighs and being way too long on the arms. But Renjun wasn't complaining. The sweater was comfortable and that's all that mattered.
After Renjun walked out Jeno's mouthed opened in aw. The small boy looked so perfect with his messy hair and oversized sweater.
Renjun immediately ran over to jeno and grabbed his hand. "let's go!" If we're gonna miss school we might as well make the best out of it, there's no time to waste!" renjun exclaimed while dragging jeno out of the room.
Jeno smiled at Renjun's cuteness and followed behind closely. Neither knew where they were going but they both knew that they were going to make this one of the best days of their life.
