Jeno felt himself being pulled from the mall, all the way back to his house. His mom practically squeezing his wrist the whole time as if to make sure he didn't escape.

"Tell me again! Who was that boy?" His mother yelled once they had gotten home.

"I told you already! my boyfriend, Renjun!" Jeno yelled back. Raising his voice to match his mother's.

He felt a slap. Right across his face.

"I did not raise you to be one of those disgusting people," she said.

Jeno scoffed. "When did you even get back? Where's dad?"

"I texted you last night. I bet you didn't see because you were with that awful excuse for a boy," Jeno's mom said. She grabbed Jeno's arm and pulled him all the way to his room. "Let's see what your dad has to say when I tell him about this," His mother said before locking the door to his room.

As soon as he saw the door close, Jeno mentally screamed. How could he have let this happen? There was no doubt Renjun would come looking for him. And when he did, Renjun would be in a ton of trouble.

He should've told Renjun more about his parents. Then they could've avoided this situation, but of course, he didn't, and now they were both caught up in this mess.

Renjun was his everything. He was now locked in his own room, with no way out, and no way to protect the smaller boy.

He needed to get out. That was the only way.

but how?

"What are we supposed to do?"

Renjun was freaking out. There were a couple of light tears that could be seen running down his face. Jaemin had his arm around the small boy, gently rubbing his arm while trying to calm him down.

"I don't know if there's anything we can do," Jisung said.

Jaemin nodded in agreement. "Listen, I've known Jeno for years. He's smart, he'll be able to figure something out, okay?"

Renjun wanted desperately to agree, but he just couldn't. What was he supposed to do? Wait at his house while Jeno was probably in trouble?

"I'm going," he said all of a sudden, standing up.

He looked at his four other friends whose faces had all dropped in shock.

"Renjun, I don't think that's a good idea," Donghyuck started.

"Well, I can't just wait here!" Renjun replied, looking slightly impatient.

Chenle just stared at him, not sure what to say. The usually loud boy had turned unusually quiet, only giving occasional glances to the others.

"If you really want to go, I'm going with you," Jaemin said.

Renjun wanted to say something but Jaemin gave him one look, and he decided not to argue.

"Fine," he said hesitatingly. Jaemin took Renjun's hand and the two walked out.

"let's go get back your mans," Jaemin said, smiling.

Renjun hesitantly brought his hand up to the doorbell, ringing it and then waiting. The door opened to reveal Jeno's mom standing at the door, with an emotionless expression on her face.

"Hello Jaemin," she said, then turned to look at Renjun, "and... you," she said, causing Renjun immediately to look down, losing all of the confidence he had before.

Seeing this, Jaemin squeezed Renjun's hand a little tighter, letting him know that he was there for him.

"We wanted to see Jeno," Jaemin said, trying his best to stay calm.

Jeno's mother smiled. "He's not here," she said, smirking.

Renjun wanted to slap that smile right off her face. "Stop lying to us! Where is Jeno?" Renjun practically screamed, letting out all the anger that had been buried inside him.

"He's not here," she said again.

"yes he is you-"

then she slapped him. Hard.

"stay away from my son," she threatened, giving Renjun a cold glare before Jaemin quickly turned him away.

Once they had heard the door close behind them, Jaemin instantly turned to face Renjun.

"are you okay?" He asked.

Renjun only nodded in response but Jaemin could see that there were tears starting to run down his face again. He pulled the boy into a hug trying to calm him down.

"I'm sorry," Jaemin said apologetically.

"It's not your fault," Renjun chocked out, still in Jaemin's arms.

"Jeno will be okay, he'll figure something out," Jaemin assured.

From his window, Jeno was able to see everything. He had heard the commotion and was able to see everything. Renjun, Jaemin, and everything his mother had done, which only angered him even more. He had to do something.

But the real question was, what was he going to do?
