Renjun heard the loud sound of his alarm ring. He moved his arm around his nightstand trying to find the snooze button, but then quickly realized that today was his first day at school.

Remembering this, he dragged himself out of bed and quickly went to find an outfit to wear.

He still hadn't unpacked yet, so he rummaged through his suitcase looking for a decent outfit to wear to school.

In the end, he decided to go with a pair of black jeans with his favourite t shirt, tucked in.

He quickly packed his bag, then went downstairs to eat breakfast.

Since it was his first day at the school, and it was the middle of the school year, he would probably have to go to the office first.

When there was still around 20 minutes until school started, renjun took his bag and left the house.

He lived reasonably close to the school but wanted to leave a little earlier, just in case.

When he got to the school, he looked around for the main office. The school was extremely large, much larger than his old school.

Seeing the blond boy from the day before, he decided to go and ask him, but before renjun could open his mouth, the boy had already left.

Renjun looked around and saw another boy with tanned skin sitting on the floor if the hallway. He decided to ask him instead.

"Hey," Renjun started.

The boy looked up and smiled.

"Um, I'm new here and I was wondering where the office is?" Renjun asked.

The boy nodded. "Yeah it's just down that hall over there." He said, while pointing.

"Oh okay, thanks." Renjun answered.

The boy smiled again, "so you're new here?" He asked.

Renjun nodded, "yeah I just came yesterday."

"I'm Donghyuck, you can just call me Hyuck." The boy said, holding his hand out for Renjun to shake.

Renjun took it, smiling, "I'm renjun." He said.

"Nice to meet you, I'll see you around?" Asked Hyuck.

Renjun smiled and nodded, saying goodbye and then making his way to the office.

When he got there, he walked up to the front desk.

"Hello?" He asked.

The lady looked up. "Can I help you?"

"Um, yes. I am a new student-" renjun started but was immediately cut off.

"Oh you're Renjun aren't you! Welcome!" Said the lady, immediately changing her tone of voice.

"We've set someone up to take you around the school. He can speak Chinese too, but clearly you're very fluent in korean."

Renjun nodded. Meeting new people was something that made him nervous but he did his best not to show it.

A few minutes later, another boy walked into the room.

He looked about the same height but his hair was a light purple colour.

"Hi! I'm Chenle! But you can just call me Lele if you want." He said in a high pitched, dolphin like voice.

Renjun wasn't sure why, but this somehow made him relax a little. Something about the boy just made him seem so innocent and harmless.

"I'm renjun," he answered.

The boy smiled and started speaking again. "Wanna meet up during break? I can show you around the school if you'd like." Said Chenle.

Renjun nodded happily. And soon enough, both boys were walking down the hall to their first class.

Chenle had a different schedule than Renjun, but still insisted on taking him to class, since he knew Renjun would get lost if he didn't.

Renjun was quite thankful for this. Especially having someone to talk to, made him feel much more at ease.

"I'll see you at break!" Said Chenle, waving before walking off to his class.

Renjun took a deep breath and walked into the room. Since he was pretty early, there were only a few other people in the room.

There was no teacher to be seen.

Just as Renjun was about to sit down, he felt someone push him.

He fell backwards.

"What's your name new kid?" He heard someone say in a threatening tone.

Looking up, he saw that it was the blond boy, supposedly his neighbour that he had seen yesterday.

"H-huh?" Said renjun, stunned.

"I said what's your name?" The other boy said, raising his voice even louder.

"R-renjun," he answered, frightened by the other boy.

"Renjun. What a nice name." Said the other boy, teasingly.

The boy pulled renjun up roughly and pushed him back onto the wall, holding the collar of his shirt while pinning him back.

Renjun couldn't move. Because at this time, he was pretty much so scared that his muscles literally decided to stop working, and also because the other boy had his arms held down.

The boy slowly began to squeeze his wrist tighter and tighter and just as Renjun was about to feel his blood circulation cut off, he felt the boy let go.

"Jeno! What do you think you're doing?" Said the teacher, entering the room.

"Oh I was just showing renjun where to sit, he's new here," answered the boy, Jeno.

The teacher shook his head, but didn't question it any further.

Right as Renjun was about to leave, he felt jeno push him back a little.

"I'm not done with you yet." Whispered Jeno in a tone that sent chills down Renjun's spine.

Jeno turned around and walked back to his seat.

Renjun took a deep breath, having to remind himself to breath, and then found a spot in the classroom, as far away from jeno as possible.

What just happened, he thought.

Everything had been going so well, up until just then.

It had been less than a day and because of what he had just experienced, renjun wasn't sure if he would be able to survive the next few months.

He could only hope that things would get better.
