"Hey we should go to a party tonight!" Avani says looking up from her phone at me as I'm cleaning my room. "No" i reply blatantly. "C'mon! It'll be fun!" She says and stands up, she walks over to my closet and pulls out an outfit that she bought for me a few weeks ago for my birthday. "It's perfect!" She squeals and lays it out on my bed.

"Avani, even if was going to go to this party...which I'm NOT by the way" I pick up the pieces and put them back on the hanger. "This outfit isn't...me" i shrug "But it could be..." she raises her eyebrows and smiles, I giggle a little bit. I was always jealous of avani's confidence, not to the point where I'd be mad at her but just that she loves herself. Don't get me wrong she is GORGEOUS but I could never wear this in my house, let alone to a party. "You got this" she winks at me and then shoves the hanger towards my body. I smile and she leaves so I can change. "I'm going to go home and change I'll be back in like 15" she smiles and shuts my bedroom door. Avani lives around the corner from me so she just walks back and forth. I change quickly getting excited to go tot he party. I do a little makeup and straighten my hair.

Avani knocks on my front door and I scream at her to come in but she doesn't. "I got it" my brother says from around the hallway. "K thanks" I reply and soon hear two sets of footsteps walking back up into my room. "You know you can always just come in right?" I ask avani and laugh, she giggles and tells me it just feels weird. It takes me a second to process her outfit, she's literally stunning.

"We're going to a party" I tell my brother and I grab my phone. "Be responsible" he reply's, before I get to say anything Avani speaks: "I'll take care of her" . he looks her up and down and runs his fingers through his hair. "EW JONAH GET OUT!" I scream and he laughs and turns around and leaves, Avani's cheeks go red. "NASTY!" I scoff and grab Avani's hand, we walk outside. "The party is right around the corner so let's walk, and that way we can just walk home after" she suggests. I agree. We walk to the house and it's huge, there's a few people out front but I can hear a bunch more inside. There's loud music, people screaming, yelling, dancing. "Hey it'll be fine" Avani says and smiles. I smile back even though inside I'm freaking out. We walk into the house and the first person I see is chase, I immediately feel uncomfortable. He looks me up and down and swallows. "Avani I need to leave" i say quietly, "Ok let's go to the movies or something then" she says but right as we're about to walk out the door Gabrielle steps in front of us.
