A plan

Sophie laid on her bed taking a breath before transmitting to Fitz. Hey. How's it going? Sorry I didn't check in before. Sophie transmitted, Hey! No it's not a problem. Elwin said I'm on bed rest for a week but I should make a full recovery. Fitz responded, it was quiet, probably because it took a lot of effort. You seem tired, I should go but as soon as the stupid no visitors ban is taken off by Elwin I'll come see you. Sophie promised in respond. Okay. Fitz said before their connection was cut off. Sophie started calling everyone to check in and they all said they were fine, Biana actually squealed when she saw Sophie's makeover. Lastly, she called Keefe, Sophie saved him for last because she knew he would be upset and angry because of his mom, and Sophie planned to tell him about the mind reading thing because she trusted his judgment and she knew he wouldn't pester her about it or tell her it was no reason to worry. "Hey Keefe." Sophie said softly when he picked up the phone, "Sup Fos- woah who are you and what did you do with Foster." he said playfully when her saw her makeover. "Ha ha, Vertina did it, I told her she could do it again when we go back to school. Since I'm trying to fix my relationship with her." Sophie retorted rolling her eyes, "Anyway,  how're you holding up?"  she said, not letting Keefe take her off track. "No pity Foster, I'm used to Mommy Dearist being evil by now, besides watching you inflict on her was awesome. Oh! Did you lie to her? That will bug her SO much considering it's her only way to know you since she can't read you mind." Keefe said lighting up but frowning when Sophie flinched at the last words. "What's wrong?" he asked concern rising in his voice, Sophie took a deep breath before looking at Keefe straight in the eye, "They have a knew member to replace Gethan, and he can, um, well, he can read my mind." Sophie said looking down to hide her disappointment in herself, Keefe noticed because he said, "It's not your fault you know that right?" "Yeah, I know." Sophie mumbled. "Sophie? Do you want some slumberberry tea? I know you hate sedatives, but Grady and I thought it would help since you obviously won't sleep tonight." Edaline asked through the door, "No thanks, I'll see if Silveny can help, if not I'll use the time to make up a plan or something." Sophie answered, "Ok, just come out when your ready." Edaline said, and Sophie could hear her footsteps go back downstairs. "You seriously haven't been out of your room?" Keefe asked, "Have you?" Sophie questioned in response, "No, but I live my dad. So I have an excuse." Keefe answered, Sophie sighed, "I'm just so tired of playing defense. I wish we could make a move first, you know?" Keefe nodded, "Why don't we, you already said it was gonna be a sleepless night, and Ro made me take a nap when I got back, thanks to you." he gave her a pointed look, which made Sophie roll her eyes and smile, "So let's pull and all nighter and make a plan." Keefe said, "You know, that might not be a bad idea. Only problem is, we can't meet up. And all Imparter calls end at 9 pm and don't come back on until 6 am" Sophie reminded him.  "Well then, I'll sneak over, and light leap out in the morning." Keefe said with a mischievous smile, "Yeah, no way Sandor would definitely know you were here." Sophie said, Sandor peeked his head in, "I will be willing to allow it AND not tell your parents, if I am to post guard in here." he said, Sophie looked and Keefe who shrugged and agreed. Once he came in Sophie told Keefe to leap over. "Sup Gigantigator!" Keefe said holding out his fist to Sandor when he arrived. Sandor rolled his eyes, "Don't make me regret this, and I'd lower your voice unless you want to be caught." Sandor said flatly. "Well squeaky, looks like it's you and me on post tonight." Ro said laughing when he scowled. "So Foster, what's the plan?"Keefe asked turning to Sophie, "Her plan is to pull out all her eyelashes." Vertina retorted, laughing when Keefe jumped. "Keefe this is Vertina, I've told you about her before." Sophie laughed, "Yeah, but I've never seen her." Keefe responded somewhat defensively. "Anyway, yes I have a plan. It could use some work, but that's what we're doing tonight." Sophie continued. 

2 hours later

"Ok, I think this plan is awesome. And we have perfected it so, can we have a break?" Keefe asked hopefully. The hope in his eyes reminded Sophie of a puppy making her smile, "Sure. What do you want do?" Sophie asked, "How about Truth or Dare? If we do me and Squeaky over here are so in. " Ro said smirking, "I'm down." Keefe answered, Sophie and Sandor nodded in agreement, although Sandor was more reluctant. "I go first. Sophie truth or dare?" Ro asked as Keefe shot her a Don't you dare  look. "Um, truth." Sophie said cautiously,  "Have you told anyone else about this new member of the Neverseen that can read your mind or only Keefe?" Ro asked smirking, "Just Keefe." Sophie answered simply, Ro shot Keefe a triumphant look, "Ok, Keefe truth or dare?" Sophie asked, "Truth." Keefe answered instantly, "Hmmm, did you EVER like Biana?" Sophie asked smiling, "Um, no. No offense to her but no way." Keefe said immediately, "Finally, my turn. Truth or Dare Gigantagator?" Keefe questioned, laughing as Sandor squirmed. "Truth." He replied after a while, "Do you secretly love my amazing nickname for you?" Keefe asked laughing, "No, defiantly not."  Sandor said flatly, Sophie laughed stiffling her yawn. "Miss Foster truth or dare?" Sandor said ignoring Keefe's laughing, "Hm, Dare." Sophie said after a minute, "I dare you to sleep." Sandor said smiling, "Oh come on! Fine but can we do a few more dares?" Sophie asked, "Fine." Sandor said reluctantly. "Ok, Ro truth or dare?" Sophie asked smiling, "Um, I don't trust that smile so I'm going with truth." Ro said eyeing Sophie "Is it true you are secretly in love with Bo?" Sophie said making dreaming eyes and batting her eyelashes while Keefe laughed, even Sandor was smiling. Ro glared at her, " Absolutely not. I'm glad you're loosing up." Ro said, a smirk forming on her face, "Truth or Dare Sophie?" she asked with venom behind the question, "Dare." Sophie said still smiling from her last dare, "I dare you to cuddle with Keefe while you sleep." Ro said smirking, maybe it was because she was so tired, or it was the rush of happiness from the last truth, or maybe even because deep down she liked Keefe, but Sophie wasn't phased and simply said, "Deal." Everyone was taken aback a step, but Ro recovered first "Then off to bed both of you we'll wake you up when it's time to go." she said. Keefe grabbed Sophie's hand and took her to the bed, they'll both admit it was weird at first, but then it became natural in a way. Sophie drifted off to sleep, comforted by the steadiness of Keefe. "Wake up guys." Ro said with a smile creeping into her voice. Keefe opened his eyes and the same time Sophie did and they were both shocked by how close they were, their noses almost touched. Keefe smiled, "Morning." he said as he got out of bed, "Morning, you're coming over at 1 today with everyone else right?" Sophie asked sitting up. "Uh duh. See ya Foster." He said as he and Ro light leaped out of her room. Sophie looked at Sandor, who nodded, "Don't worry I won't tell your parents. And I like you plan, but I'm assuming you didn't tell Keefe about the last part." Sandor said, "Nope he'll find out with everyone else, but I'm sure he'll be fine with it." Sophie responded. Sandor nodded and left the room, "Ok if you're meeting up with everyone then you NEED to let me help you again." Vertina said
