Those eyes (Sophie's POV)

Sophie made her way into the conference room and smiling when she saw a tired Ruy complaining and a highly annoyed Alvar. "Hey guys, how'd you sleep?" Alvar groaned, "Terrible, somebody was snoring like a chainsaw and I could her them from through the wall." He pointed toward Ruy who pretended to dust lint of of his clothes. Sophie couldn't help but laugh, "Yeah, he's worse than an imp." She had no idea how she knew that an imp snored loudly, she never had on or seen one at that, "An imp?" Ruy raised his eyebrows, suddenly awake. Sophie shrugged, "I don't know seemed like the right thing to say." Before anyone could ask her anymore questions that she didn't have answers to, Forkle called for everyone's attention. "Today, we have a mission." He paused for the cheers coming from the crowd, "We will be taking a boy named Keefe Sencen from the black swan, he is a valuable piece for the Neverseen's plans, that is all you need to know. Line up for your assignments." 

"This is a long line." Ruy groaned and Sophie snickered, someone was not happy to loose training time. "Relax, grumpy pants." She teased, "Shut up Moonlark." Replied, emphasizing the nickname. Alvar rolled his eyes, "You two are such children." The previously bickering members looked at Alvar and then to each other and grinned evilly. "Is that so?" Ruy asked, raising an eyebrow and Sophie cocked her head to the side. "Uh, no! I was joking completely joking ." Alvar panicked. "Oh okay!" Sophie smiled, the evil purple aura previously surrounding, "You forgive to cute people too easily." Ruy whined. Sophie flushed, "I don't think Alvar is cute!" Alvar smirked. "I didn't say you did." Ruy smirked, Sophie raised an eyebrow and Ruy coughed to cover her flush. For weeks ago Ruy came out to Sophie, who of course accepted him. She's not homophobic like the elves in the lost cities. It's one of the many reasons she was glad to be part of the Neverseen. She's had her suspicions about Alvar and has long suspected Ruy had a crush on him. Though, Sophie still has a MAJOR crush on the oldest Vacker child. "Here." Mr.Forkle handed the three of them parcels. "Sweet, I'm on a team with you Ruy." Alvar read his card and Ruy nodded. Sophie's mouth dried, she couldn't speak. Her eyes were glued to the paper. 

You will be going undercover to join the Blackswan.

This is not good. This is very bad. She hated the Blackswan with all her heart. So why was she a little happy? And why did those eyes return to her in that moment?
