Skills are underated (Sophie's POV)

"No! That won't work!" I yell exasperated, we had been at it for hours and we had nothing. Absolutely nothing. I rub my temples, "Sorry, I'm just really tired.  Can we regroup tomorrow?" I say knowing I'm being extremely grumpy. Everyone nodded and left, I trudged up to my room, Grady was staying with Alden, apparently he was nervous to be alone with me after my outburst, but I heard him grumble about me not seeing him as a dad. Sandor agreed to bring him some clothes, the only reason I had convinced him to go was so I could sneak out to get Edaline myself, I took a quick shower and changed into the clothes that Flori altered to hold lots of weapons, I headed downstairs to load up weapons but I tripped on the last step, I prepared myself for the impact of the floor... it never came. At first I felt relieved that someone caught me, then I realized what I was wearing. I quickly got up and saw Tam, "Hey Tam!" I say in a overly cheerful voice, "Save it." Tam says, I sigh. 'Look-" I start, but Tam cut me off, "You're not going to the Neverseen's hideout alone." I smooth out my clothes, "Tam-" I try, but, lord behold, he cuts me off again, "Sophie I know you want to keep us safe, but you can't go alone. So I'm going with you." I tear my eyes away from my tunic and look at Tam, I see the same determination in his eyes as he has with Linh. Linh.  "What about Linh?" I ask, a flash of guilt washes over Tam's face, but it's gone so quick I wonder if I imagined it, "She's spending the night with Biana anyway, I figured with everyone there she would be safe until we get back tomorrow." If we get back tomorrow I wanted to add but I held my tongue, if he doesn't come everyone will, it'll be easier to protect two people. "Fine, I have an extra boys uniform up in my closet got get changed." Tam sighs in relief that I agreed, "No reason, I'm already dressed." Tam says taking off his long coat to reveal that he was in fact dressed ready. "Ok then let's load up, we have 5 more minutes till Sandor gets back." I say as we make our way to the weapons, we stock up in comfortable silence. Once I finish I look to Tam, he nods and takes my hand. I pull out a crystal, as we step into the light I have one thought and one thought only, Tam and Edaline will make it out of here alive what ever it takes. And with that the light takes us away.

"How did you even find that crystal?" Tam shadow whispers to me as we snuck through the halls of the Neverseen base, I stole it from Lady Giesla when we fought her a couple weeks ago. I transmit back, "Who knew you were such a ninja?" he shadow whispered back, I could practically hear the smile in his voice. How did you convince Keefe to stay behind?  He looked suspicious, "I just told him I would deal with it and call him. Since I was like your brother." I was about to respond when I heard a scream. Edaline. I looked to Tam and he nodded,  we both took off running to the sound. Another scream. An image of Edaline being burned like me and Dex fought it's way to my brain, but I pushed it away. A louder scream. I channel my energy into my legs and run faster than I ever had before, my legs burned but I didn't care. I reached the door. Scream. I looked at the door and imagined planting a seed in the door, I fed it with energy and it cracked until it exploded. Thanks Exilum. I run into the room, a goblin star comes directly at my head before I could anything, it stops right in front of me, I look to the doorway to see Tam focusing on the weapon. Telekinesis. Skills are seriously underrated, I immediately turn to my mothers attacker and inflict on him. He falls to the ground groaning and twitching as I run to let Edaline free, she's so fragile I know she can't run on her own, but I'm not strong enough to carry her. As if he knows what I'm thinking, Tam runs over and scoops up Edaline nodding at me we run. Alarms start to sound. Shoot. Tam and I channel our energy into our legs as we run, Tam in front, me right behind him. We made it out of the base, only to be confronted by Ruy and Alvar. I throw a goblin star at both of them but get cut in the leg causing me to fall, Tam immediately reaches down to help me,  I grab his hand and slip him my home crystal. He looks at me confused, Go I have another. I transmit, he nods and leaps away. The only problem is, I didn't have another crystal, and with that a cloth was pressed against my mouth and nose and I blacked out. 

A/N: It's finally picking up! How will Tam react to Sophie not coming home? How will Keefe react to Tam coming home and not Sophie? How will Sophie get home? And most importantly, how long will Sandor's lecture be when Sophie gets back? If she gets back.
