I stood in the kitchen quietly. Ein was standing there yelling at me, again. I looked up at him when I heard a knock at the door. I quickly ran to the door and opened it. It was a big guy who made me nervous.

"Hey, I'm your neighbor. I live to the left of you. Would you mind keeping the noise down?" He asked.

"I'm sorry. I just-" I didn't want to tell this stranger.

"Alright, thank you," He smiled. I smiled and walked back to his apartment.

"Who was that guy?" Ein said aggressively.

"M-My neighbor. He was asking if we could keep the noise down," I said quietly.

     "Sure," Ein said sarcastically.

"It really was. Please can we be quieter," I said. I didn't want to get kicked out of my apartment.

"I'm going to go get groceries," He said going out of the room. When he left I sat down on the ground and began to cry. Suddenly I got a knock on my door. I opened the door and saw that same neighbor.

"I'm sorry to bother you again, but I've been able to hear you and, who I assume to be your boyfriend, fighting. Is he hurting you? I know it's not my business, but I don't want anyone to get hurt," He said with a concerned look in his eyes.

"He hasn't yet," I said nervously.

"Look, my name is Aaron. If he hurts you or you need someone to talk to I live right next to you," Aaron said.

"Thank you," I said hugging him, "I'm Aphmau."

"No problem," He said walking back to his apartment.
