I raised my hands slowly. I didn't know why, that's what they did in movies though right? You just put your hands up and the bad man with the gun decides you're not a threat and then takes you home and leaves you alone. Was that wishful thinking?

Whoever had the gun to my head behind me did what I had failed to do and flicked on the light switch. He spun me around and I was greeted once again by a certain attractive set of green eyes. Alessandro. I visibly sighed with relief. He had the same reaction as he dropped his gun. I let out a shaky breath and then wondered how I'd explain what I was doing in his room.

"Fuck, you scared me." He walked over to the huge black queen sized bed and shoved his gun under the pillow. He looked a little unsteady, maybe he'd had a few too many drinks. He sat down on the edge of the bed and I wondered how I'd managed to scare this so called mob boss. From what I was seeing he was a lot less mob-bossy than Dante and I didn't mind the thought of seducing him to be honest. Gosh I really needed to stop.

"Sorry, I was, um, looking for a bathroom." Wow I was proud of myself for that quick lie.

He motioned over to a door that I assumed led to an en suite.

"Uh thanks." I scurried into the bathroom and closed the door, locking it behind me before letting out another breath I didn't realise I'd been holding. Now was my chance to figure out what the fuck I was supposed to do now. Maybe I could ask him for a lift. But where to?
I heard a gentle knock on the door and was snapped out of my thoughts.

"Hey, are you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks."

Wow, he was actually kind of sweet. Well, I was fully aware that his job title probably meant he was no saint, but I sort of felt bad knowing that I was here as a mole for Dante. I flushed the toilet so I didn't seem suspicious and washed my hands before leaving the bathroom.

Whilst I was doing all that Alessandro the not so mobby-mob boss had taken his shoes and suit jacket off and climbed into the bed, closing his eyes. Was he seriously not alarmed that some random chick was in his room? Maybe he was too drunk to notice?

I approached his door to leave and figure out what the fuck to do next when I suddenly realised that if I was going to dig for info, if he was drunk this was my chance. I could ask him some questions and then leave before the morning and hopefully never see him again for him to kill me. Sounded like a great plan to me. I crept over to the side of his bed and tapped his shoulder gently. His eyes fluttered open and he looked up at me.

"Si?" He asked sleepily. I couldn't help but feel my heart throb at how cute he was. I almost wanted to tell him never mind, tuck him in and leave. No, Mia stop your bullshit. He's a thug. And you need this to save your own life.

"Why are you still here?" He asked. "Everybody left."

"Um, I know." As I tried to plot what I was going to say next, I thought, I hadn't realised I was going to need a degree in acting to help me survive this.

"Do you not have a ride?"

I shook my head and gave him a pitiful look hoping he might offer me one. Though he was drunk so I wasn't sure I wanted one from him anyway. Also I wasn't sure where I'd get a lift to. Ideally into a hiding spot in a different country. Yeah I could use a lift, maybe to some island halfway across the world?

"Non importa, you can stay if you'd like."
Or that would work.

"Um, are you sure, I don't want to bother you." I lied.

He shook his head and yawned before closing his eyes again. I cautiously took a seat on the edge of his bed and looked over at his beautiful face. What exactly was I supposed to ask him?
