I nibbled on my fries whilst frantically glancing around every 5 seconds. Not only did I not want to see Alessandro because I didn't want to be wrapped up in any mafia drama right now. I'd also never turned up to see him when he'd invited me and I didn't want to have to wriggle my way out of the awkward situation of trying to make an excuse.

"Hey, are you alright Mia? You look uncomfortable." Sasha asked while Lucas was very openly making out with Riley right beside us.

"Yeah, just a little tired." I gave her a reassuring smile and got chatting with her again about Amanda and Sebastian to distract myself. She'd just spilled some tea on how Sebastian had got back with his crazy middle school ex, Amanda, who'd been stalking him for literal years now.

Once we were done, Lucas got up to pay, what a gentleman. I took that as an opportunity to drag Sasha and Riley back to the car so I could be out of this place. As we wandered outside into the car park, we made the shocking discovery that Lucas' car was gone.

"What do you mean gone?" Lucas exclaimed after we'd we rushed back into the diner to tell him.

He ran out of the diner glancing around before running back inside.

"Someone stole my car! I need to see the CCTV footage." He frantically yelled to the owner while Sasha, Riley and I just stood in the entrance looking very shocked.

Had somebody really robbed his car while we were sat right inside. Lucas was having a mini panic attack, that car was his baby. Riley wrapped her arms around him and hushed him, offering him reassurance that we'd find it. I wasn't entirely sure, at least he had the money to replace it though, right? I had a feeling that's not exactly how he was seeing it, which was fair enough. I'd be crying by now.

The diner owner kindly came out to bring us to view the CCTV footage and as we all stood up to go in, he shook his head.

"I can't fit you all back here, only 2 of you."

Sasha and I sighed, taking a seat by the entrance as Lucas and Riley followed him into a small back room with a monitor.

We sat for around 10 minutes waiting for them to come back out. Sasha got up to go the bathroom, I would've usually joined her but it was just a single stall so I couldn't exactly do that. I sat by the entrance alone, my head leaning against the slightly smudged glass window that looked out into the car park of the diner, watching as rain began to fall.

It suddenly dawned on me how many people had probably touched this window and I decided to take my face off it before I caught something. I sighed, leaning my head into my hands instead, what a disaster today had been. We could never go out without some major drama going down.

A group of loud, rowdy kids entered the diner, sitting right beside me. I didn't have the patience to listen to them screaming so I walked outside, maybe I'd just have a little look around incase we were just a little blind and his car was still here, wishful thinking.

I walked out into the car park, truthfully, without checking to see if there was car coming first. I let out a loud girly squeal as a car braked harsh to avoid killing me. I literally fell onto the ground of the car park after tripping up, hitting my head a little too hard against the concrete. I'd just almost been run over. Why had my life become so unfortunate, was I just asking to be killed at this point?

My head was fuzzy as I heard the car door open and the owner of the vehicle jump out of the drivers side, rushing over to check I was alive as I was still just dramatically laying on the tarmac.

Shit, had Lucas and Riley just watched that happen on the CCTV? That's awkward. I tried to sit up which was a big mistake as I opened my eyes and everything was spinning. I heard the faint noise of the drivers voice in my ear before everything went black.
