Angelos must've noticed Dante's disapproving, no, disapproving was an understatement, menacing glare, and he moved back, glancing between Dante and I with a very confused look on his face. Poor thing. I'm confused too Angelos, me too.

"Umm, you okay boss?" Angelos asked, his tone unsure.

"You can leave."

Angelos glanced back at me, probably wondering who I even was and why Dante was looking at him like he wanted to strangle him with the napkins.

"Sure, no problem, boss." Angelos stood, walking away towards the other side of the club but throwing a confused glance over his shoulder as he left.

"Mia." Dante acknowledged me.

"Dante."

"I wasn't expecting you here."

"Yeah, well, I should be leaving." I stood up to leave, unable to hold my emotions inside and act normal infront of him. He grabbed my wrist gently,

"Wait, sit for a little bit?"

"I've gotta go."

He must've noticed that I was looking pissed off about something.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Can't you sit for 5 minutes?" He asked, and I sighed, giving in, shrugging his hand off my wrist before sitting down again.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Then why did you come here?"

"I don't know, I'm beginning to regret it though." He frowned at that, his eyebrows knit in confusion, before his face fell a little. Maybe his tiny Italian brain was finally registering what I'd overheard.

"What did you hear?"

"Enough to tell me you have a girlfriend Dante. Which you failed to mention when we were having sex on the very couch that she was sat with you on, just now." Admittedly, I was talking a bit of shit there, I wasn't sure which couch they were sitting on, I took a wild guess though because it enhanced my petty response.

"I don't, I mean, I -" he let out an exasperated breath as if he couldn't find the words he was looking for. "I can't explain here." He said.

There was nothing for him to explain, I shook my head and stood up,

"I get it, it was a stupid fling, but sucks for her, being with a cheater." It took every ounce of self control I had not to cry, I wasn't even sure why I was getting so emotional over this. I should've known, he was a fucking thug, what did I expect? Something came over his eyes, he looked a little hurt and opened to his mouth to speak, but I cut him off before he could do so. I couldn't listen to him trying to talk his way out of this right now.

"I'm leaving." I declared, cutting him off, before walking out of the club, my head held high despite the fact that there was a huge wet stain on the front of my shirt and I was on the verge of a slight breakdown.

I went to work as normal that night. I'd considered taking a day off to focus on my mental health but I came to the conclusion that I kind of needed the wage and Andrew hated me already. I reluctantly pulled on my work apron in the back kitchen of the diner while my co-worker Maddie took orders in the front. I missed working with Riley. Not that we even did much work when our shifts were together. But still, I missed her company.
