“How dare you insult Kronos, lord of the titans!” The teenage boy with blond hair exclaimed.

“Don’t worry Luke. She will soon learn some respect.” Kronos smiled.

“Luke?” I whispered. That’s when I remembered why he looked so familiar; I had looked at his photo in the Hermes cabin. This boy with blonde hair, and a scar down his face was Luke Castellan.

Luke smiled, “That’s right, I am Luke Castellan. Lord Kronos here,” Luke gestured to Kronos, “he gave me a new life. I am repaying him by helping him rise into power.”

I tried to stand up, as it hurt kneeling on the obsidian stone floor. Tom put his hand on my shoulder and pushed me back to the ground. My knees dig into the floor and I wince. Kronos notices and chuckles, “Does that hurt daughter of Poseidon? You will be in extreme pain soon enough, better get used to it.”

I was to busy looking at Kronos that I had hardly noticed Luke walk up behind me. He had a bat in his hands and stopped just behind me. He swung the bat and I felt my head throb. I fell onto my side and the world went black. I heard laughter as I was fading.

Sophie looked on as the demigods set up camp next to the lake. Jason was gathering rocks while Esme was getting sticks and tree branches. Ben was collecting dry leaves to start a fire at the edge of the forest that surrounded the lake.

Hannah was sitting next to the lake when Leo walked over.

He sat down next to her, “How are you doing?"

“Alright. It’s just that…” Hannah leads off.

“Just what?” Leo inquires,

Hannah paused for a moment before speaking, “Whoever it is that took Brianna, they sure knew what they were doing. It was obviously planned. That makes me think of how long they wanted her, or why her. You know?”

“Yeah, I’ve been wondering that for a few hours now. I keep coming back to the same answer. They knew she would be at the border of camp. Which means they knew that Issy, or someone, would bring her there.” Leo didn’t say what else was on his mind; they had been following Brianna’s moves for a while.

Hannah was looking at the lake water when Leo twitched. He looked around them, in the forest, “I think we are being watched.” Hannah looked around as well and then looked at Leo. “You sure?”

“Yeah.” He replied. Sophie shrank back into the tree branches and peered through the leaves. Hannah and Leo stood up and looked around.

“It seems like no one is here but us. The others are still getting stuff for the fire.”

“I sense that we are being watched by someone who doesn’t want to be seen. She is most likely hiding in a tree.” Leo said with a note of worry in his voice.

“If she was in the lake I would sense her straight away. I think we can safely say that she is in a tree.” Hannah whispers to Leo.

Leo summoned fire to his hand and the flames dance across his palm. Hannah took a step back, standing in the lake. She imagined the water arching over their heads, towards the trees. She opened her eyes and saw that had happened.

The water moved along the trees, Hannah trying to sense a person. The water reached a tree with long branches and a long tree trunk. Hannah gasped and Leo glanced at her.

“You’re right, there is someone in that tree.” Hannah pointed to a tree 25 meters away from them. Hannah controlled the water and it surrounded the tree with the intruder. She made the water rush towards the person, using a lot of Oomph.

The water circled around Sophie and pulled her into the clearing. The sphere of water stopped a few meters in front of Leo and Hannah. Sophie’s body went limp and Hannah dropped concentration of maintaining the sphere of water.

Sophie hit the ground with a thud. Leo paused for a few seconds and the flames died in his hand. He turned to Hannah, “Is she out cold?”

“Should be.” Hannah said. Leo walked out cautiously, with Hannah 10 steps behind him. When the two were a few steps away Sophie sprang to life. Hannah jumped in surprise while Sophie got to her feet.

Sophie ran towards the two while they were stunned, quickly tackling Leo to the ground. By the time Hannah was running towards them Sophie already had his hands behind his back. She looked up at Hannah approaching for a half second, and then swiftly pulled something from her back pocket.

It was a pair of handcuffs but the colour of the sea. The sea-cuffs were filled with water that splashed when she clipped them around Leo’s wrists. Hannah decided she was close enough and jumped for the girl.

While Hannah was in the air Sophie blinked rapidly, three times in one second to be precise. Then Sophie was gone, along with Leo. Hannah fell face first on the hard ground. She quickly sat up and looked around.

Sophie and Leo were right here one second, and gone the next. She shook her head in disbelief. She was sure no demigod could teleport.

I moaned and opened my eyes. I shivered; I was lying on the cold, stone floor. The darkness surrounded me and it took a few minutes for my eyes to adjust. When they did I saw I was in a small room, about 7 meters square. In the corner was a small pile of straw.
