Soo Yun scoffed. Of course, Mrs. Yung had to give her the stupid task.
Mrs. Yung had hated her from the beginning. If it wasnt for Soo Yuns mother, she wouldnt have gotten her small apartment. But luckily Mrs. Yung was still in debt with her mother. It was a old story and complicated. Simply said, Mrs. Yung and her mother were high school friends, but they estranged, which was mostly Mrs. Yungs fault. So, her mother came 20 years later and asked Mrs. Yung for a apartment for her daughter and Mrs. Yung was afraid of a secret to get told, so she had to accept Soo Yun. Mrs. Yung wasn't happy to have her in her house and she showed that very directly. Soo Yun always had to do stupid and troublesome errands. Just like looking after Mrs. Yungs two cats. Calling these creatures cats was not completely truthful. They not only looked like wild furry balls that just walked through a tornado, but they also behaved the wildest Soo Yun has ever seen a cat behave.
At the beginning Soo Yun thought that the cats were only acting this way because of her. But later she noticed that Mrs. Yung always had suspicious scratches on her arms. Which proved, that Mrs. Yung was either crazy, or she liked to harm herself.
Now Soo Yun didn't only have to look after the cats, but also had to take care of her new neighbor.
„How cool!" Soo Yun said sarcastically, and glanced around her, when she noticed that she accidentally spoke out loud.
She carried on with learning her English words, until she heard the bell for the next lesson ring.
When school was over, Namjoon, Sarah and her went to the school parking and were talking about Soo Yuns problem with Mrs. Yung.
„I think Mrs. Yun is taking revenge on your mother with mistreating you." Sarah stated.
„Of course she is, but I'm not my mother and I dont even know what the fuss is all about." Soo Yun answered with an annoyed tone.
„Soo Yun are you coming with me or do you want to walk?" Namjoon asked, putting his helmet on, while pushing his motorcycle.
„Sure!" Opening Namjoons luggage bag, she answered.
Watching the two Sarah said: „Why do you only take Soo Yun with you?"
It was true, Namjoon only took Soo Yun with him. Because of two reasons: firstly, Sarah was afraid of the motorcycle, even if she didn't admit it. Secondly, Sarah lived on the other side of Seoul.
„Well you know you live on the other side of town, so it would be a detour to bring you home first. And Soo Yun just lives on my way home." Namjoon tried to tell her in the nicest way possible but couldnt hide a small chuckle. Soo Yun understood him and whispered so that Sarah couldnt hear her: „Yeah, and because you dont want her to shit her pants."
They both chuckled and Soo Yun sat on the passenger seat behind Namjoon. Sarah was obviously slightly jealous.
„What? Guys what is it?" Sarah said confused.
Oh nothing. Namjoon said with a smile showing his dimples. Then he started the engine and drove out of the parking lot. As the motorcycle started, Soo Yun held herself on Namjoons torso. What she didn't notice, was how Namjoon tensed up as her arms hugged him from behind.
From far, people would think that they were a couple. The pedestrians were watching them with awe. Stares from strangers, was normal for them. They have been friends for a long time and almost everyone around them thought once, that they were a couple. They always had laughed it off and told the people that they were just friends. Namjoon had always suppressed his true feelings by a sad smile.
Arriving at home, Soo Yun firstly searched for the cat food in the garage of Mrs. Yung. When she found it, she took out the two food plates and some water. Like Mrs. Yung told her, she put it in front of the cat door. Later she had to come and look if the cats have eaten it or not.
