Soo Yun was breathing heavily as she entered her suite. Her elbow was immobile and it hurt like a bitch. Her black leggings had holes on the knees and blood was rinsing down her shin.

She knew that she must look terrible right now. And she knew that her mission failed. So she did not only look miserable but she also felt as if she just had been stomped on.

The keys rattled in her hands as she stumbled into the living room. Her eyes were looking to the ground, her head hung low. She wanted to get a drink out of a mini fridge in one corner as a voice made her shriek up and her heart stumble.

"Soo Yun what happened?" mark was sitting on her couch and he had a worried look on his face. Soo Yun calmed herself as she realized that it was only him. She walked towards him and let herself fall onto the soft cushion.

"What are you doing here and who the f let you in?" She sounded annoyed.

Mark didn't care to answer. He looked at her scraped face and her wounded hands and knees. "What happened to you?"

"I failed." She said quietly and full of regret.

Mark got angry hearing this. "This is what I warned you from. But you probably were even lucky. Can't you see now that you need help?"

Soo Yun rolled her eyes. "I almost had them. But when I was holding my gun against one of them... I freezed."

Mark now had sad eyes as he regarded her. "You have to let me help you."

"You already did."

Mark was now the one to roll his eyes. "You know what I mean."

Supporting her still functioning elbow on her leg she sat up and laid her head into her open palm. She huffed out some air out of frustration. "At least we now know they mean it. They are here to take over."

Mark shakes his head in disbelieve. A bitter laugh comes out of his lungs. Soo Yun looked at him with no emotion in her face. Mark looked at her. "And what now?"

Soo Yun shrugged and looked into a emptiness infant of her. "We need to dig deeper."

Mark put his harm on her shoulder as he regarded her from the side. "I'm not signing up for one of your suicide missions again." He searched for her eyes but she was still looking away. "I'm only helping you if you let me come with you into the field."

Soo Yun closed her eyes but then she nodded. Mark was surprised. "Alright... if that's what you need."

"Thank you" Mark whispers. A nods is the answer of her.

One week later:

Soo Yun was fitted into a tight red dress that flowed down to her ankles. On her feet she had a pair of pointy black high heels. The dress had spaghetti straps that held the silky fabric in place. her lips were tainted with a bright red and her eyes were emphasized  with a deep black liner.

Mark was as well in his suit. he looked at her with big eyes as she sat into the taxi that drove them to the destination that they were targeting that evening. Mark gulped as he eyed soo Yun and her fit, but he quickly looked away to get a hold of himself.
