There she was, sitting in a car with Jin and Jungkook.
Jin was in the driver's seat and Soo Yun sat on his right. Jungkook sat in the back and wasn't too happy about the fact that Soo Yun was the one with the better seat.
The whole time he had been sending daggers to Soo Yun and while shopping, he had been whispering things to Jin. Jin had responded with „Don't be so hard on her"
They were for sure talking about her, what made Soo Yun only more uncomfortable as she was standing right next to them. Luckily, she could go shopping for clothes on her own, as the others went to the food section. Back in the car, the unnatural silence again made the whole ride very awkward.
Jin though, tried to lighten the mood as he turned the radio on, but he shut it five seconds later as he saw the stare from Jungkook. After ten minutes, Soo Yun didn't bother about the silence anymore. Again, she found herself in the middle of her thoughts.
Last evening's occasions replayed in her head, with such details that she unconsciously began to bite her lips.
Whatever happened between her and Taehyung wasn't a coincidence, nor a one-time thing. They both wanted each other and by thinking of it, Soo Yun began to crave the feeling of his lips on hers. He had kissed her like no one ever before. Her two exes were not even half as good kissers as him. And she knew that she didn't kiss him out of despair, no it wasn't sole lust either.
Whatever they both were doing, they had to be cautious.
„I'll be cooking today."Jin said into the silence. The others stood silent. Soo Yun remembered that his friends told her, that he was a miserable cook.
Jin looked over at her and Soo Yun quickly plastered a fake smile on her lips. „It'll be great. I think I'll do potatoes and roasted asparagus with chicken."
„Y-yeah...sounds great." Soo Yun tried to stay nice as she didnt want to hurt him.
Jin smiled happily at her. „So, spare some space in your stomach you two."
A grunt was heard from the back of the car. „Sorry Hyung, I already have dinner plans."
„No, Jungkook I already told you that black bean ramen every day isn't healthy." Jin turned to the right, after opening the entrance door with his key, they drove into the garage.
Just as Jin wanted to exit the car, Soo Yun had a very good Idea.
„Hey Jin, what if I help you with cooking?" Jin looked surprised at her.
„Sure, can you cook?" Soo Yun scoffed internally at his question and thought: „Probably better than you." But she just smiled at him and nodded. „I'm alright."
After Soo Yun had put her shopping bag with her undergarments in the empty closet of her room, she went down to the kitchen to help Jin with his cooking problem. At least she could prevent him from doing major mistakes.
„Did you already start?" Jin was already washing the vegetables, as he stood in an apron in front of the sink.
„Oh, yeah. I'm sorry but we don't have a second apron." Soo Yun just shrugged it off and walked over to him.
„So, tell me what exactly do you have in mind?" Soo Yun pushed her sleeves up and washed her hands.
„I thought about fried potatoes and then roasting the asparagus and the chicken."
„Are you going to marinate the chicken?" Jin looked at her with a confused look.
„What is matrinate?" Soo Yun sighed and put her hands on her hips.
„It's marinate, and we use that so the chicken is tastier and it builds a crust."
Jin skeptically looked down at her. „I don't know about that."
„Just watch." Soo Yun took the chicken out of the fridge and made a sauce out of oil garlic and many spices. Jin had to show her where everything was. It was fascinating how rich these guys seemed to be, but they didn't have more than five different seasonings. „It will do."
After she finished the sauce, she put it on the chicken and then placed it on a sheet to put it in the oven. Jin watched her at every step and raised his eyes as he saw the chicken slowly turn brown in the oven.
„I never thought we can do chicken like this." He walked over to her and held out the potatoes to her. „Okay now the potatoes, but I don't think we should fry them. What about a potato salad?"
„So we'll cook them?" Soo Yun actually liked cooking with Jin. He actually didn't do more than washing yet, but it wasn't a complete disaster, like the others had told her.
„No it's a salad Soo Yun, we'll serve them raw." Soo Yun choked on her own saliva.
„What?" Jin tapped on her back as she still coughed.
„Potatoes can't be eaten raw! They're poisonous that way." Soo Yun scolded Jin, making him frown.
„Oh that explains a lot."
Soo Yun slapped her forehead with her palm. „Did you once eat them that way?"
„I might have served them once or twice to the others..."
„Well that explains a lot..." Soo Yun could now understand why his friends didn't like his food.
„You know what...just watch and learn."
After an hour of tiring cooking Soo Yun had finished with cooking and placed the food on the big table in front of her. Jin had helped her in small things, though, he always had to follow her instructions precisely.
He once almost let the asparagus burn, as he wanted to put the oven on 300 celsius degrees. And he wanted to use vinegar instead of oil, but she could prevent him from doing so too. Soo Yun was early enough and gave Jin the tip, that he from now on only should cook by receipt.
Now they only had to get the others to eat their food.
„Jin, I'm going to call the others. Can you put out the plates?" He nodded and Soo Yun walked out of the kitchen.
After all the other five people were gathered on the table, still not very positive of what they're expecting, they all had their food in front of them.
Jin had a big smile plastered on his face, totally excited that now all his friends would eat his food. Jungkook firstly didn't want to come, but then Jimin reminded him, that it would had been his turn to eat Jin's food anyways.
Yoongi looked skeptically on his plate. „Shouldn't we just order pizza instead?"
„No, not this time. Just look for yourself, it is delicious." Jin outragedly fired back to Yoongi.
„Yeah, that's what you always say."
„Come on guys we both really made an effort." Soo Yun tried to convince the others with taking a bite herself, and just like she had expected, it was good. A bit boring but good.
Taehyung was the next to take a bite, as he already once had eaten Soo Yuns cookings and knew that she was a good cook.
Just as he wanted to take a bite of the chicken, a sound was heard from far away. Everyone around the table stopped their doings and pricked up their ears.
„What was that?" Soo Yun asked innocently.
Taehyung shushed her out and tried to concentrate on the sounds.
Another sound, like glass was shuttered. „What was that?"
On the ceiling above were footsteps heard.
I'm sorry for not updating lately, but I didn't forget about the story
