I closed my eyes expecting the worst and thank god the car passed us right by few inches, I felt it even though my eyes were closed
I sighed in relief before looking at the little girl in my arms
" Are you alright little one?" I asked her, she was shaking nonstop in my arms, i carried her as I made my way out of the street fearing if any other car will come up again
" Oh my god!! Athena! what were you thinking" I heard all 5 of them screaming at me, I silenced them by my eyes pointing at the little girl in my arms
" little one you ok?" I asked her, she nodded her head still shaking
" where is your mommy ?" I asked her softly
" I-I am lost.," she said as her lower lip started trembling
I hugged her tightly
" shuuu... I will help you find mommy, ok? No worries" she nodded before resting her head on my shoulder,
" What is your name?" I asked her
" Bella " she replied softly, I couldn't hell but to smile, what a pretty name.
" where was last you saw your mommy little one?" I asked her and it took her one minute to reply
" I d-don't know, I lost her and I walked and walked and couldn't find her" I nodded in understanding
This city is really big and messy in someway if you ask me, it will take you a long time to get used to it and if you are not familiar you probably can get lost in it easily.
I look back to my friends who are still shocked, I know I would be shocked too if one of them just ran off into a street
" guys I am fine. Do you have my bag that I just dropped?" Bruce nodded as he handed me it, I took my phone out already, I have already 5 missed calls from Leonardo.
I typed his contract and was welcomed by his worried voice
" you ok???" Was the first thing he said, making me chuckle
" I thought you were in an important meeting," I asked teasingly
" I was before I got a call telling me you nearly got into a car accident," he said sounding in a rush and I know he is probably walking towards his car so he can come here
" about that, I want to find that little girl's mother, could you tell someone to look into it?" I asked him, i heard him sigh before replying
" sure baby, right on it" I smiled looking down at the little girl in my arms
" good then, see you soon, love you," I said before hanging up
" wow, I want a lover too," Bruce said dreamily
" You will find one soon, let's go now, we will get late for our graduation and I bet our family and friends will start showing up soon," I told them and they all nodded
" little girl, is it ok to stay with me for a while until we will find your mommy?" I asked her and she nodded almost immediately
We started to walk back to where the Ceremony will take place and my eyes light up in seeing familiar faces
Aiden, Stella, and Noah
" Hello!" I said rushing to their side, they all looked really happy to see me but confused when they saw the little girl in my arms
" have I became a grandmother without me knowing?" Stella asked sounding actually serious
" No no, little Bella got lost so she will accompany us for the time being until we will find her mommy"
