Y/N's POV

"Can you call and tell Fowler we aren't going to work today?" I ask Nines that morning, "I can," he answers, "but he won't like it."

"That might be a problem for him. Besides, what we have to do today is more important." I glance over to Connor on the couch, playing with Buddy, a toy rope in Connor's hand, the dog trying (unsuccessfully) to rip it free from the androids grip.

I have decided to bring my dad over to see Connor again, and let him talk to Nines, of course, he won't be knowing about me and Nines' relationship.

He already thinks it's wrong for androids and humans to be in love, because he keeps saying that people shouldn't be loving the image of perfect we have made, but find the image of perfect in nature's natural creation. Us humans.

But I know I can't keep it secret forever, I'll decide when to tell him. But for now, I must get my dad to my place and reunite him with Connor.

But, the thing is... can he take it? Can he take seeing Connor again? Will he explode with joy? Stop drinking and get his old job back? I could only dream, but I know for a fact that will not be my father's reaction. Hank Anderson doesn't "explode with joy"

Then what will he do?

I guess I'll see.

"Nines, I want you to come with me to get my dad, I'll use his car to drive us back, I want you to drive my bike back here, ok?" I say, the android nods, "We'll be back soon Connor." I wave bye to my friend, grabbing my card and helmet, he smiles warmly and returns the wave, still wrestling around with Buddy.

Me and my partner take the elevator down silently, "I don't know about this Y/N". Nines speaks, as we get to the level floor.

"You don't know about what?" I ask, not facing him as we leave the lobby and go the parking lot, "I mean, how do you think Hank will react? What if he reaction to seeing the RK800 is a negative one?"

"How can he be negative around Connor?" I ask jokingly, but I knew Nines was right. What will he say? And do? I know I already asked myself these questions, left with no answer, I've thought until I cannot think no longer.

Time Skip- At Hank's House

I tap on the front door with my knuckle, before unlocking the door, and coming in.

My father is on the couch, he sees me an jumps, "Oh shit..." he mumbles, I can tell he's somewhat sober by his look and words, "Aren't you supposed to be at work?" He asks, confused.

"I took the day off." I say, stepping inside, my android partner follows, his eyes widen at the sight of him.

"So... you're Connor's replacement?" He growls, "Dad clam down." I say, I walk up to him, and sit down on the couch next to him.

"This is Nines, I thought you should finally meet him." I say, and then let out a sigh, "I'm really here to take you to my place Dad," I tell him, "there's... a... uh, surprise... so to speak; for you there."

"What?" He asks, he picks up his whiskey bottle, but I take it from his hand, "Just come with me and you'll see." I insist.

My dad glances to Nines, before swallowing hard, "Just tell me what it is Y/N." He says.

"It won't be a surprise then!" I push on, my dad sighs, "Fine."

"Great!" I jump up and sprint pass Nines to get my dad's car keys from the table, before leading them both outside.

Time Skip- At Y/N's apartment

My dad looks around the place, noticing the smells and the atmosphere, "Nice place. How did you afford it?" He asks.
