Nines' POV

One Month Later-

Everyone was happy to see me again.
Even Gavin welcomed me back. I've never been more happy in my life, I'm back in the job, back to life, which is going fairly well.

I reported Zlatko for his crimes the day after the next I got back home.
The androids he had torn apart were being put back together by CyberLife so they could go back to their lives, Luther managed to escape Zlatko again, he now lives in a small apartment in New Jericho.
Zlatko was charged with accounts of android violence, murder, kidnapping and several other charges, he'll be in prison for a while, and then put to death. It was a satisfying feeling knowing that justice is being served to that awful man.

I explained to Y/N what I've been through and what happened to me, it nearly made her cry, but then again... she's been very emotional recently, she's also been getting sick in the morning a lot.
She was coming back from the doctor today, while I watched Megan and the pets.

"Dad, when I grow up, I wanna be an artist!" Megan said, her drawings were getting better and better every day, I've been very impressed by her work, well, as impressed as a father can be.
"You do?" I say to her, Megan nods as Spade stretches out on the couch.
I take a glance outside at the cloudy skies, it would be raining soon.

I loved rain storms, especially when it was late at night and I could fall asleep while listening to the pitter patter of rain outside. Y/N didn't like them as much as me, speaking of her, I've been thinking a lot about our future.
Will we get married? Has a human ever married an android? That would be odd. But it would finally mean she was mine.

Which brought up Adam to my mind. I remember how he wanted Y/N, but she was already mine, he was angry. He tried to kill me, and now he's on the loose somewhere... it scared me.
It's been over a year, I think to myself, everything is fine.
But what if he was planning something? He is a complete psycho after all...

My train of thoughts was interrupted by a clap of thunder outside, Megan yelped and dropped her coloring pencil, rain beginning to fall outside.
"Rain, rain, go away!" She yelled as Buddy barked
I chuckled and texted Y/N, 'Where are you?'

I wait for a reply, tapping my foot patiently, looking down at Megan's drawing. She catches me staring at it, "It's bad... ain't it?" She said gloomily.

"It's not perfect, but it's not awful either. It's fine Megan, practice more, you'll become better." I say truthfully, I've learned my own way to be a parent, believe you can achieve, but don't believe it too much, be positive and see the better side of things, but don't be naïve. I felt confident with that parent technique.

Y/N then replied to my text, 'I'm on my way home' she said.

TimeSkip- Y/N Comes Back Home

It took longer than I thought it would for Y/N's doctor trip, I hoped nothing was wrong.
She came back to the apartment and Buddy started barking as Megan sat up, "Hey mama!" Megan said, running over to Y/N with a drawing of a dog, Buddy specifically.

I smile and sit up, but my smile fades as I see Y/N's red face.
"That looks great sweetie!" She says, her voice sounds stuffy. She's been crying.
Megan grins and goes back to the table to complete her drawing, I walk up to Y/N.
"Are you alright my love?" I ask quietly, taking her motorcycle helmet for her she sitting it on the counter.

She nods and moves some hair out of her face, "What did the doctor say?" I ask, "Nothing. I'm fine." She answers, putting her keys and card next to her helmet.
I could sense something else was wrong, she had obviously been crying before, is she keeping something from me? I was afraid, what if she had some kind of sickness and didn't want to tell me, and worry me?

I cross my arms and brush my fingers across my jawline thoughtfully as Y/N sits down, Buddy greets her with happy barks and kisses.
I sit down next to her and Spade crawls up and into my lap, I pet the cat thoughtfully as more thunder rolls in the background, along with the softness of rain hitting the glass.

I'd figure out what was wrong with Y/N sooner or later.
