Peter felt every fiber of his body pulsing painfully. He could feel his body slowly ending up dying. His spider-sense knew what would happen. He knew that he would die. And he knew there was nothing he could do. His eyes looked at his mentor, by now father figure. Peter knew that this will cause some pain. And there was nothing he could do. His senses screamed at him. Told him that he would not survive this. And it was painful, so painful. The worst pain he ever had felt since his spider bite.
"Mr.Stark I don't wanna go..."
He choked out Mr. Stark tried to make him feel better, but the male knew himself that he would now die. But the words were making him feel guilty. This wasn't what he wanted. He wasn't regretting that he went with mr. Stark, but he regretted that he wasn't strong enough. That he was the cause of mr. Starks pain right now. He remembered what Mr. Stark told him and this was why his last words were...
"I am sorry..."
Then all was black...
.
.
.
Voices were heard. Two hushed voices. The pain still was on his mind and god was that the most painful pain he had ever felt. Never would he want anyone to feel a pain like this. His eyes slowly opened and he realized that he was laying on something not too comfortable. The ceiling was unfamiliar to him. His eyes looked around in confusion and he saw unfamiliar people. These people wore clothes which were not from his time but from medieval time.
The room suit the style of what the strangers wore. One of the people looked around his age. Short raven hair, light blueish eyes, and rather big ears. The expression showed confusion as well concern. Next to the raven-haired teen was an older male around maybe 50 years old. The male had long grayish-whitish hair. As well as blue eyes and he had as well the same concerned and confused expression was seen.
"U-um, hi?"
He asked trying to figure out what was going on and where he landed. His spider-sense wasn't kicking in, which mean that these people weren't going to harm him.
"Oh, you are awake. I was really worried that you wouldn't wake up."
His head tilted slightly in confusion as he stared at the two people. The older male let out a sigh and swatted the younger at the back of the head. The dynamic felt like a father-son bond. Like what he had with mr. Stark.
"Sorry, about him. I am Gaius and this moron is Merlin."
It was amusing to him but at the same time, he felt a pang of pain as it reminded him of mr. Stark.
"It's fine. I am Peter."
A small smile played on his lips and both had eye contact. There was for a moment silence until Merlin spoke again.
"So what happened? And what is with that weird clothes? Like this material feels really weird."
His heart sank at this and it made him just feel more confused. Where the heck had he landed? And what the hell is going on?
"-Um-, where am I and this is my fighting suit."
There was silence once more and he saw the two males communicate through looks alone. This was making his heart just long more for his mentor/father figure.
"Camelot and this is a strange thing. Are you from far away or something?"
Camelot? What? This wasn't possible. This was just a myth, but now when he thought about Merlin's name he was just more confused. This shouldn't be possible.
"T-that can't be..."
He whispered and feeling on the brink on a breakdown. His mouth opened but closed again. Peter realized that Thanos won. And he had died and ended up at Camelot. How he had no idea, and right now everything crashes down on him. Like a weight that was as heavy as a building.
"You doing alright there?"
His mouth opened but closed it instantly again. This time he couldn't just hide how he felt. It was too much to handle for him. His breath hitched and he felt like he couldn't breathe properly. Just great, he had to have now a panic attack. IN front of these strangers.
"You need to try and breathe."
A wheeze came out as an answer. Peter just couldn't do it. He couldn't breathe. Not soon afterward Merlin had said this, he felt his hand suddenly put on a chest.
"Alright, just concentrate on both my heartbeat and breath."
He nodded and concentrate on Merlin's breathe and heartbeat. And copied the breathe which he heard of Merlin. His super senses could pick up on the smallest things and he really hoped that he wouldn't end up getting some sensory overload. It took him a few more minutes to calm down. The hand was left and felt grateful for Merlin.
"Alright, now that you're better. I want to know something. Do you have magic?"
This question took him by surprise and he shook his head as he wondered why Merlin was asking this.
"No why?"
Merlin let out a sigh and he saw him look relieved, and he couldn't get why he was looking relieved.
"Good, because there is a law against magic. Just having it alone could get you burned on the stake. And for your question well..."
The first part made his blood boil as he grits his teeth. This wasn't right. He knew someone who had magic. A sorcerer, whose name was Stephen Strange. Even when he just met him, imagining alone that doctor strange could end up burned on the stake, was making his blood run cold and he was ticked off now. He saw Merlin trail off at the ending and he felt slightly confused now. There was another sigh heard.
"What kind of bullshit is this? Why would someone get burned because of something like this?"
Merlin stared at him and soon he heard him sigh again and a sad smile was on the other teen's lips.
"Because the old king saw it as evil. Uther Pendragon was his name and he made that law. The new King Arthur is a bit different, but I think he still sees it as evil. Don't worry I don't see magic as evil. As to your question, the reason I ask is because of your weird suit and the wounds you had healed."
Of course, with his Parker look, he had to point this out. And not stay obvious like other people.
"Before I tell you, you need to promise me not to tell anyone and the same goes for your father."
He said and Merlin blinked and he saw his expression turn into embarrassment. Gaius, on the other hand, had an amused expression.
"We aren't related but he is my apprentice. And I wouldn't really tell anyone."
"Yeah, and I have my own secret which I will tell you. But you go first."
He sat up and stretched himself and feeling a bit better, but his memory still was fresh on his mind. A shiver went through his body at the painful memory.
"Alright, I trust you two then. I got bit by a special spider and that spider gave me super senses. I can hear way better than people, my body heals faster, I have a danger sense. When someone would attack me or try to shoot something I would feel it. But it comes with a negative thing, that I have a higher metabolism and sometimes I get sensory overload. Everything will be too much."
The two males stared at him and he wasn't sure what to do now. He was sure that he was stuck here and he was worried when he would get a sensory overload. They can get really bad.
"Alright, so I have magic. I was born with it. That is why I am a warlock. What is sensory overload and how bad are they?"
His eyes widen at this and he started to worry now for Merlin. The teen could end up getting burned at the stake when someone would find out.
"I won't let anything happen to you. I don't find this alright at all. You were born with this and getting punished is like when getting punished when I would get punished for my abilities. Of course, I wasn't born with it, but it is still a part of mine. And hearing this makes me just want to sock and get some sense in this person. I get that magic can get used for evil, but this is bullshit as not everyone's the same. Like myself. I don't use it for evil, but for good. With great powers comes great responsibilities and I can't believe that you would get punished for this or anyone who has it- oh my god sorry I was rambling."
His cheeks flushed slightly and Merlin looked at him with a soft expression and as well one of awe. The other male looked amused and something fond was seen as well.
"It's fine. I know a particular someone who sometimes rambles."
There was a pointed look given to Merlin and he glanced at Merlin, who looked given a playful glare as saying sassily.
"You just can't handle my awesomeness."
He snorts now as this sounded just like something he would say. Gaius shook his head and had a fond expression.
"Anywho, back to your question about my sensory load. Everything gets too much. Noises get unbearable, the light gets too bright, my smell gets too strong, just everything that has to do with my senses. Even just the smallest touch will trip me off."
Merlin nodded at this and he was wondering how he will do this now when he would end up having sensory overload. And there was as well that he had no place to stay.
"Yikes sounds painful. Just warn me when you feel like this and I will try to ease at least your sensory load. I even will try to get a new spell. It will take a while-"
The sentence was stopped in the middle as suddenly the door got thrown open and he felt him tense up slightly. A Male walked in with blond hair, a bit darker blue eyes and looking around, until the eyes met with Merlin.
"Merlin! Where the hell were you? I searched everywhere and you should have been helping me out ages ago."
He slipped out of the cover and stood up as looking at the stranger and giving him an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, it is my fault that he found me unconscious in the forest. I hope you aren't too mad at him, sire."
This seemed to take the attention back to him now and he felt a bit nervous. This male wore something more special. Like it was clear that this blondie was someone more on higher status.
"And who would you be?"
His body tensed up at the question as he wasn't sure what to tell this stranger. He wasn't the best at lying.
"I -uh- Peter."
His cheeks felt hot and he knew that he was blushing now. But before the stranger could say something more, Merlin intervened as saying...
