His body felt slowly being moved up and he felt one harm around him. It was the kind of feeling that he liked and he knew whoever that was, he could trust. The distinct familiar scent was making it just more easy to relax again. That was why he leaned into the touch and felt some movement under him. It was the kind of movement he knew and was familiar with, a horse movement. And with the clattering sounds of hooves, he was sure that this was a horse.
---
The next time he woke up was when a buzz started. His spide senses warned him of something. So his eyes snapped up and he looked at a direction. By now his buzzing got worse and he knew whatever that was wouldn't fend up well without the use of magic.
Everyone many bandits ahead. Some have probably magic.
He sent to everyone in their head. Even with his weakened state, he managed to use this spell. It was an easy one and that was why he could still use it.
I know. I guess it was your Pete tingles.
I already felt it and having my guard up. Pretty sure that everyone else as well.
Don't call it Pete tingles. They are called spidey sense and I hope they will.
He huffed out and chaos started. Mordred and Merlin were working together fluently and he awed. The bandits had no chance, but his guard stayed up as he still had his senses tingling. And he soon realized why. Even with his weak body, he managed to push Arthur barely away. All that he got was an arrow in his shoulder. He winced at the pain, and in the rush of adrenaline, he used a spell and knocking the person who shot the arrow straight at a tree.
"Shit, Peter."
Merlin rushed over and he stared up at his brother figure. The tingles left and he let out a sigh. At least now there won't be any more danger or at least for now. Peter slowly pulled the arrow out. The pendant felt warm and he felt the arrow wound slowly closing.
"Phew, it wasn't poison. Alright, enough stress for the rest of my life. I can see myself get gray hair because of you Pete."
A grin stretched on his lips at this. As he heard his father figure say this many times.
Your not the first one who said this. Mr. Stark has said that many times.
Merlin chuckled at this, and Arthur came out of his frozen state now and ruffled his hair. As having a fond expression on his lips. Now he felt just more exhausted and he realized that this took a toll on him.
"Thanks. You are a lifesaver."
He gave him a small smile and stifled soon a yawn. It seemed, that this was the only energy had left. The rest of the way was calm for once. Peter was almost the entire time sleeping, others when they gave him some small food and some water. But at some point, he had dozed off entirely and the one question stayed on his mind. But he wasn't having the energy to really ask nor to stay awake half of the time.
---
The next time he woke up was at a new bed and it was a different one then he was used to. It was one of the more comfortable ones and he wondered where he was. His eyes opened and he realized that he was at one of the sleeping chambers which were for the Nobel guest rooms. Why he was there was making him just puzzled and confused.
"Ah your awake, Pete."
His head turned towards Gaius who had now entered the room. The old man looked relieved and he looked tired.
"Your vocal cords will take around a month to really heal. You are quite the lucky one and I guess your healing factor rescued your vocal cords and that pendant."
He nodded and waiting for Gaius to continue explaining. The older man looked at him with a soft expression.
"It will take at least 3 to a week for you to get back on your feet, but afterward I have to advise you to take it slowly for at least another week. With enough rest and food, you should be fine."
This sucks and he wasn't liking this, but he couldn't argue and he wasn't going to argue. For that, he was still way too tired. And it needed energy to just listen to Gaius.
"Glad that you are alive. You give as more gray hair then Merlin does."
He gave him a weak grin and Gaius let out a sigh and had a fond expression. A hand was ruffling through his hair.
"Arthur gave you this room as thanks for rescuing his life. The others are right now at a meeting. They should be back soon."
He nodded again and his eyes dropped again, the exhaustion took over again. Peter knew that he was still recovering and that was why his body needed that much rest.
---
Something nudged him and his eyes slowly opened as he left a small yawn escape. As he glanced at Merlin. The said male had some food on a tray and he knew that it was food. Mordred helped him sit up and helped him out with eating. It sucks but he wasn't minding this so much. It felt quite nice having someone to take care of him.
---
It took him 1 week and 4 days to finally be back on his feet and god was he feeling glad about this. Nothing against getting helped out, but it was not something that he liked. He decided to give the room back. It wasn't something he was comfortable, but in the end, Arthur wasn't going to let him. So that he decided to share the room with Mordred. The said teen was almost never with him, other when he had training.
That was the only time he left and they got really close now. They decided to be boyfriends and Arthur had lifted by now both magic and the law of same-gendered couples. That meant that the two of them and Arthy and Merls, as well as Lancy and Gwaine, had nothing to worry anymore. Time flew by fast and it was now 1 and a half years, since he arrived here and so much had happened, both good and bad.
His mind still sometimes trailed to his old life, and he still had sometimes homesickness, but it was bearable with the people he got close with. Peter knew that he would probably have to leave them and that was something that he not sure that he could do. That was why he working on a spell that could make them reborn in his time and they could meet. Because right now he felt like this was a second home. A home that he wasn't wanting to leave.
The suit almost had no electricity left and he was sometimes still missing spider-man, but at the same time, he wasn't. Here he had not to hide his abilities and had not to worry about anyone getting harmed by some psychos. And he could be really himself without having to hide his real powers. Peter knew that he would have to get back to school, and god was he not liking this...
And he finally heard what happened to Morgana. The female got sadly killed and he wasn't liking it, but there was nothing he could do. Sometimes it was better and he knew this, even when he wasn't liking it. Right now he training his sword skill against Mordred and he was tripping and ending up bumping in him. Both fell down and their lips met at this. His eyes widen at this and his cheeks started to burn in embarrassment. Mordred was a bit better he had an amused look in his eyes and kissed back. As soon as the kiss came, it was left and both looked amused.
His voice still hasn't returned yet or not much. And Gaius advised him to try not to talk. Which he wouldn't try either way. Peter knew how dangerous it could be talking with a injured vocal cords. Everything was well, but all things had to end. Which he realized a month later...
