This went on for a while, and Morgana had realized that he was still healing, but she just couldn't figure it out. The hunger was the worst and Morgana just gives him enough water to make him not die of dehydration and sometimes he even got something little. But never enough that he would die of hunger.
He was by now that weak that he couldn't even had the energy to fight back with witty comments. But he wasn't going to give up. Each night when he slept he was talking with Mordred and Merlin. Sometimes Arthur was even there, and today would be the day where they would be there. Peter knew this as his pendant had a comforting warmth.
He missed the warmth of his brothers and the most he missed was Mordred. The male was the one who held him sane. He was the one who helped him have the strength not to give up. So far he hadn't had the time to ask about what they were and Peter just couldn't. Not when he was still there. What made him feel frustrated that he was too weak to escape on his own.
I am bored...
A sigh escaped at this and the sudden noise made him jump a bit, and he screamed or was planning to scream but he just couldn't his voice was none existence anymore. Too many times he screamed, but thanks to the pendant he knew that at least his vocal cords should be fine. As long as he will just try to not use his voice too much afterward.
And there he goes again overthinking about this all. A sigh escaped and he heard some fighting going on. His eyes stared at the door, and he really tried to do something, but there was nothing. Peter was even too weak for magic. At least he managed to break his chains away. This led to him land down with a loud thud.
"Ouch..."
He mouthed as he was staying there and feeling a stinging sensation all over his body.
"I think I heard something there."
That voice was Gawain and his heart skipped a beat at this. There was another voice which he knew as well.
"Same, let's check it out. This is a dungeon after all and sire told us to try and look into each room."
The door was opened and he stared at it hoping that he wasn't hallucinating. Two gasp were heard and soon footsteps approached. From the smell he knew it was Gwaine.
"Shit, she did a number on you didn't she?"
He wished he could answer, but knowing the vocal cord damage he was sure that this won't be possible for a while.Sorry for startling you, but I can't talk. My vocal cords are damaged. I won't manage to talk for a while and to your question obviously or why do you think I lay here? For sure not in comfort.
Gwaine hadn't said anything, and he felt himself getting picked up. His body first flinched as he still felt a bit sore, but soon leaned into the touch and giving the person a weak small smile.
"Lance, we need to get him out of here and then to either Mordred or Merlin. He needs medical attention and something to eat and drink."
He agreed with Gwaine and he zoned the rest out feeling way too exhausted right now to really care. His head up and felt something wet cool down his throat. It felt pleasant. His mind right now was way too unfocused and he felt feverish. There was someone trying to communicate, but right now he couldn't really focus on this voice, even when wanted to.
---His eyes slowly opened, his eyes were blurry at first and felt something soft under him as well warmth. Someone's hand was felt going through his hair. It felt pleasant. The blurriness left and he saw now who was the one who was petting his head. It was Mordred and he felt the relief wash over him. Everything went well and it made him feel insanely relieved.
"Oh. Holy Camelot you're awake."
The light blue eyes flashed relieve and he smiled softly now at Mordred. As soon as this he saw him lean in and a kiss was giving on his temples. The affection made his heart skip a beat and he was feeling the warmth spread through him."How are you feeling, my love?"
My love, a nickname he could get used to. It showed how much Mordred cared for him. He must have zoned out again, as when he realized that he zoned out he felt the said male nudge him. His mouth opened and he tried to say something, but nothing came out.
Sorry, seems like my vocal cords are too dead right now.He saw that the eyes flashed concern and he smiled reassuringly now. Even without a voice, he could communicate. After all, he could just use his magic and send what he wants others to know through their mind. Now that he was a bit more awake, he felt relatively well, but still weak. But no pain, not even soreness, and god was he glad about this.
I am doing fine. I can't talk right now, but it should be fine as long as I don't talk until my vocal cords have healed. Which will be around a few days. Other than that I am quite well, but I feel weak.
A sigh was heard and he could see relieve wash over Mordred's face. There were some voices heard.
"Alright. I guess I have to get used to hearing you in my head for a while. The food should be soon ready. We decided to make some soup."
He nodded and feeling relaxed not really minding what he would get. As long as it was eatable and as long as it wasn't too heavy for his stomach, he could eat anything.
"Merlin! How long?"
Peter was spacing out and hadn't realized until he felt a hand on his forehead. When he looked at which hand that belonged, he saw that it was Merls."No fever good. Hey, Pete. I will switch places now."
He nodded, not minding who would watch over him. There was a shift felt under him and he was on a lap.
"Alright. We take turns, oh and you are probably hungry that is why I brought you this.
"Now that Merls has mentioned he caught the whiff of the soup. He felt himself being shifted again and his eyes observed as was leaned on the tree."Do you want to try and eat it yourself or do you need help?"
Would Peter be strong enough to eat himself? No, and he wouldn't even try. That was why he nodded and Merlin took that as a yes to help him. He ended up managing to eat the entire bowl, but this was all he managed. And he hadn't even had to tell this Merls as the teen knew that he was full.
"Alright. I will get that now away. How about I get back to your boyfriend?"
His eyes widen, cheeks flushed but he nodded speedily. Peter was wanting to have Mordred close. Merlin chuckled and left. He dozed off and woke up again when he felt a slight shift on something comfortable under him. Or as comfortable a bell roll can be.
His body was pulled into something warm and he knew who it was instantly. So that he relaxed and weakly pulling his arms around the male who pulled him into a hug. Not too soon afterward he dozed off again feeling warm, secured, and protected. One question stayed on his mind...what happened to Morgana?
