Kayn's Little Incident

We got to the shopping mall and walk through isles searching for the lights we needed and dumping certain foods for groceries.

"Why are they selling bones?" Leif ask picking up a skull. "You could just get them for free if you just kill other humans."

"It's just a decoration so it's not real." I said as Leif places the skull back. "Humans don't kill other humans Leif, I'm sure you notice that by now."

"I mean, yeah I have. What stops you guys from doing that?"

"Well the law. If we do that we'll get punished. Though it still happens around the world, it's just that no one would want to associate with one who murdered another man."

"You humans are intresting. On Daemos, we really don't have a thing like that."

"Or so I've heard." I said putting Ava's favorite cereal in the cart.

"Well I mean, people like me are often banished from the kingdoms." We walk for a while in silence before I Leif ask again.

"So what's your story Leif?"

"Hmm, what do you mean?"

"Ava told me that you were an assassin, so why do you work for Asch?"

"Do you really want to know?"

"Yeah sure, why not?"

"Really?"

"I mean you guys already know alot about me and Ava." I told Leif facing to him.

"Well.." Leif pauses thinking about his words. "You see.. I, uh, grew up with a bunch of other Daemos like me. A lot of us bonded over being abandoned and things like that. I was really close with brother."

"You have a brother?"

"Everyone's brother really." Leif chuckles. "You know, I was surprise that you have one. He reminded me the brother I had on Daemos, but yours is an over protective one."

"Well you aren't wrong. He's a bit clingy and a chatterbox."

"Anyway, something happened and I got.." Leif's tone strated getting lower and sadder, his eyebrows are furrowed down.

"Seperated?" I guessed.

"Yeah. We, uh, had a job to do and they.. left me behind."

"I'm.. sorry to hear."

"Heh well it was a long story, they're just cowards who couldn't kill as much as I could." Leif scoffs and smirks to himself. "Anyway, long story short, I met Asch after I was spared."

"Spared?"

"Yeah.. Even though it doesn't look like it on the outside, a lot of us are Asch's knights because we respect him."

"Really now? You don't say." I deadpanned.

"I mean as much as one can have for a royal brat." Leif chuckles.
