Behind the Injuries prt. 1

(A/N: This is going to be a looong one. These are just the things Kayn picked up after Thyme told him to spy on the Daemos. Tbh, this is also my excuse of not wanting to finish the book yet while waiting for S2 of MID.)

Two days had passed since Chord's visit and days since the Daemos came into our lives. Never would've thought that a small encounter can change our boring lives. I still have my doubts but I think I'm starting to understand that I'm falling in love.

I'm in the kitchen finishing up my breakfast, Ava's in her room again and the Daemos are watching the TV. After cleaning up, Kayn suddenly come to me snuggling his head between my thighs. He's asking for attention isn't he. I played with him for a while then realizing that the video tape recorder is still attach to his collar. Maybe.. I should check just to be sure. I removed the device from Kayn.

"Come on Kayn." The dog followed me to my room and layed on my bed as I connect the device to my laptop. Sitting in my desk, I pressed play and watched from the things everyone's doing.

"So I was right." Thyme muttered. "Their purpose here is to find a new source of magic on Daemos. But what do the mean when two of us can't sustain Daemos?"

"That's weird. Leif hasn't shown me any sort of bloodlust when he's talking to me."

And after that fiasco of the Daemos chasing Kayn, the day went on as Thyme remembered during Ava's instagram attempt.

Kayn was sleeping on the couch when you could see in the camera that Rhys coming out of the magic door. I'm assuming he's going to Ava's room.

"Don't forget." Rhys said coming out of Ava's room, this woke Kayn up and went to the said room. He is standing in front of Rhys who is smiling down at Kayn.

"I'm sorry to disturb you spirit, please do not report what you've heard on our meeting yesterday." Rhys patted Kayn on the head and walks away. "Have a good night." After that, Kayn went inside of Ava's room and lays down on the floor for a while, until you could hear Leif punching Ava's phone.

"I'm trying to get the Leif out of your magic slab to show who's superior." Leif shouts, Kayn walks up to the edge of the bed and starts barking at Leif. Ava says something and takes her phone away from Leif after he said 'Make me.'

"Damn, why do these guys have to be so dumb in the first place. Not respecting one's privacy is really something else."

"It's behind my source of power, touch it and you die!" Ava exclaimed. Kayn pounces at Leif but he teleports and reappears at the edge of Ava's bed standing behind her. "Thanks Kayn."

"You know I respect that you put death in your spells, makes me respect you." Leif said smirking at the growling dog. "Sorcerer Thyme's beast is a loyal mutt, isn't it? It knows what it needs to be done without taking orders from you or her."

"I mean dogs are loyal animals soo.."

"What does that mean?" Ava asks.

"I'm impress that she trained her spirit to be a smart one, makes me respect her as well."
