After writing this I realised I may have done an oopsie and misread the request
Maybe MC isn't a magician for just one island
And maybe I goofed something up

_______
You were a travelling merchant and entertainer of sorts, a one woman show floating through Paradise. There were stormy seas and dangerous people, but you had a knack for getting out of trouble. You had experience getting chased out by a few towns who refuted the mysterious girl who sold things they'd never seen and did things they couldn't understand. But on most of the islands you visited, a few oddballs bought a hefty amount of stuff, parents took their kids to watch the show, and some kids insisted on buying some pretty gem or fancy knife.
But rather than the smiles of kids in awe, you loved the baffled look on pirates' faces. For the most part, they were confused, but knowing you could mystify even the great pirates who'd seen tens, maybe hundreds of different powers might've been one of the best feelings.
So you were psyched when the ship of the Spade Pirates---an up and coming pirate crew---docked at the island you'd been performing at for the past week. It was a winter island, so by the time most of the families had eaten and gathered at the docks, it was dark enough to see the stars in the sky. Which was great for you, because it worked well with your show.
You stood at the edge of the wood and took a step to your right, falling into water a couple metres deeper than your height. You remained fully submerged in water for a moment before swimming back up. Heavy gusts of wind spurred around you, pushing water off of you and away from you, culminating into what looked like wings made of water, moving to look as if they were the reason you flew, and you began your show. Sparks flew and floated around your body in bursting strings of colours. Lilac and baby blue winged butterflies bloomed from your hands as some of the water from your 'wings' joined in.
Nearly colliding with the strands and bubbles of water, the butterflies sprung into flames and took their own paths. Wind pushed the coils of fire and water around your form and you clapped your hands together, emitting (F/C) tinted bolts of lightning metres long up into the sky, the air retaining a subtle hue.
Within the quick explosion of light, you caught a glimpse of a few pairs gazing eyes watching adamantly out of the corner of your eye from the Spade Pirates' ship. You smirked, a stronger (F/C) colour layering any loose soda cans, stones, and glass from the nearby ocean floor and docks, rising up through the water and crowd, slowly deteriorating into thumbtack sized shrapnel and filtering into the streams of water, shimmering in the liquid like sparklers contained in a near transparent tube.
Near a hundred pairs glittering wide eyes reflected your show.
The ocean rose in droplets, collecting in a (F/C) haze, the light show the only thing visible anymore. In a quick explosion and puff, the water condensed into a sphere of ice surrounding you before a wave of heat pushed out, the ice shattering and melting simultaneously, spraying around you as you made a quick escape.
Amidst the chaos and heavy, tinted fog, you snuck into the Spade Pirates' ship and slipped into the hull, where a few, probably recently empty, crates were stacked. Deuce, who you were fairly sure was the first mate of the crew, raised an eyebrow.
"Just a little ride to the next island, good sir. My boat has been destroyed and raided, show some mercy, kind sir."
He huffed. "I'll pass, magician."
"Masky, did you see that? Dude, that was so cool! It wasn't even a devil fruit," squealed a voice, loud stomps indicating someone heading down to the hull. Portgas D. Ace, badass fire fruit guy, gasped and awed like a child.
You offered a small, chill salute. "I'll be voyaging with you for a while, good to meetcha. The name's (Y/N), wonderful to meet you."
"Woah, how'd you do all that stuff? That was super cool!"
You smirked. "Don't you know? A sorceress never reveals her secrets."
He mouthed 'woah,' wide eyed and impressed. "A sorceress," he echoed in awe.
"A sorceress," you confirmed. "Welp," you said, propping your hands behind your head and neck, "guess I'll be staying for a short while." You shot a glance at Masked Deuce from the side that screamed victory, and his narrowed, more out of exhaustion from his captain than you.
"Awesome, let me give you a tour, dude," Ace said, more than ecstatic to accept you without much thought.

It had been 2 years, and conveniently, you never really found another suitable boat, so you stuck with the Spade Pirates. And maybe you got attached to the Spade Pirates' boat anyway. And maybe the crew themselves, too.
But it wasn't so bad. Putting on shows for islands you visited and for nights the crew partied was fun, and you ended up pretty close with the captain himself. Ace was cheery and easily entertained, and unlike how you thought of him at first, he was actually pretty smart and mature. He just had his moments of immaturity, and it was honestly pretty refreshing to have a more childish influence.
And just in Ace style, his confession was him jumping on your back and attacking you with kisses along your cheek, separated by 'I love you's. You just laughed and returned the phrase, trying to push him off as he bear hugged you to death, nearly suffocating you.
Suffocating in a loving way, of course.
