Location: Seoul Central District Court
Time: 9:30 am

"Defendant Kim Seokjin, accused of attempted murder, is hereby found guilty as charged by this court, sentencing him of 10 years imprisonment."

Taehyung sighed, looking at Jin on the defendant's side of the courtroom. He looked thinner and this breaks Taehyung's heart.

"This court is adjourned." The judge announced, raising his gavel and striking it on the block as a sign that the trial has ended.

Judy So on the other hand was released after finding out that she had been threatened by Jin who pretended to be an anonymous caller.

The officers discovered that she has a son with special needs, being treated in one of the hospitals in Seoul. She was forced to turn herself to the police after receiving threats, aiming to harm her son.

She was given assistance by the police, making sure to keep her and her son safe.

The police officers immediately guided Jin. They were about to get out of the courtroom when Taehyung held them off.

"Wait..." Taehyung called out, making the older stop on his tracks.

He reached out his hand, holding Jin's cuffed hands.

"I want you to know that I'll wait... I'll wait for us to be a family." Taehyung whispered, tears trickling down his face.

Jin stared at him, eyes full of pain. He looked away, fighting the urge to cry.

"That would take forever to happen." Jin responded, pulling his hand away from Taehyung.

He began walking, leaving Taehyung with a sad smile.

"I'll still wait....hyung."

Jin heard it all, his tears began falling in his eyes as he made his way out of the courtroom.

Taehyung looked at the older's back, feeling sorry for everything that he had to go through.

He saw officer Namjoon standing by the doorway.

Taehyung went to him, still full of tears as he held his arm.

"Officer Kim.. Please look after my brother." He pleaded, staring at the man's face.

Namjoon sighed, holding his hand in return. "I will."

Taehyung cried out, finally feeling at ease to know that Jin could have someone looking after him, which Taehyung won't be able to do.

After this day, he would fly to Canada to take care of his parents who badly need him now.

He doesn't know if he'll ever come back to Korea again, so having Namjoon look after his brother puts his mind at ease.

He could leave Korea now, without anything holding him back.

"Have you checked on your father?" Mrs. Kim asked, caressing her son's hair.

Taehyung smiled, nodding his head as he focused his eyes on the painting he's making.

"Yes, Mom. I already tucked him to bed." He answered, gliding his brush carefully.

"Thank you." Mrs. Kim kissed him on his temple before going out of his room, leaving Taehyung alone.

He was in the middle of making finishing touches when his phone buzzed.

Taehyung quickly wiped his hands on the towel hanging around his waist before carefully taking his phone.

He immediately smiled, seeing a video call from Jimin.

"Hey, lovely." Jimin greeted with his eyes turning to crescents as he smiled.

"Hi. What's up?" Taehyung asked, slumping on the edge of the bed.

"Nothing. Couldn't I call you when I miss you?" Jimin pouted, making Taehyung smile.

"Of course you can." He giggled. "What are you doing?" He asked, noticing that Jimin seemed to be in the middle of something.

Jimin raised his phone, showing him his baked cookies.

"I'm trying to bake. You know, I have a cookie monster here." Jimin giggled, making Taehyung smile.

"How's Yoongi-hyung?" Taehyung asked, making Jimin blush.

"He's still the same. He's probably in the living room with his face buried on his computer as usual." Jimin shrugged his shoulders.

Taehyung couldn't help but giggle, still finding it amusing to know that Jimin had found his love in the form of Yoongi.

He just woke up one morning, receiving a call from Jimin telling him that he was contacted by Yoongi after a long while and from then on, everything went well.

Since Yoongi's identity wasn't exposed, he's a free man, finally living a normal life as a software specialist with Jimin by his side.

They found love in each others' arms, the thing Taehyung hasn't gotten back until now.

"How are you doing there? Is uncle finally recovering?" Jimin asked, placing his cookies on a jar.

Taehyung happily nodded his head. "Yeah. It's still hard for him to move around, but he's recovering."

As soon as Taehyung arrived in Canada, he showed himself to his family who were greatly shocked and overjoyed to see him alive.

He found his father in coma, which brought tears in his eyes every night.

Taehyung made sure to attend to his parents' needs until finally, his father woke up after a year.

He made sure to be his personal doctor, taking care of him everyday as soon as he comes home.

He was able to get a job there, a month after he arrived. He had decided to stay with his parents for good, leaving behind his friends way back in Korea.

Everything was finally falling to its right place... almost everything.

"Tae.."

He was snapped out of his thoughts, hearing Jimin's voice.

"Uh.. what's that?" He asked, lying on his bed as he stared at his phone's screen.

Jimin sighed. "You're spacing out again." He commented, nearing his face on the screen.

"He still hasn't contacted you?" Jimin questioned, making Taehyung stop.

"Uh... no." He answered, forcing a smile.

"Tae. I hope I could help you, but Yoongi also doesn't have any communication with him after he left." Jimin's voice sounded sad, but Taehyung was quick to laugh.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it." He answered, looking away from the camera.

"I think mom is calling me." He suddenly said, wanting to end the call before his tears fall from his eyes.

"I'll call you later, okay. Bye, Chim. Love you." He clicked the end button as his tears finally cascaded down his eyes.

Taehyung suppressed his sobs, feeling the pain creeping in his heart.

He was trying to forget and live a normal life as if everything's okay.

But no matter how hard he tries, he knows he won't be okay.

Without Jungkook, everything means nothing.

It's been a year and a half and yet, Jungkook still hasn't contacted him. He's losing his hope, but everytime he remembers his promise, his heart couldn't help but hold on.

Jungkook promised he will find him.

And Taehyung will trust his words.

He'll trust his love.
