Cyborg and Beast Boy were in the kitchen, finding an afternoon snack.

"I just can't believe I'll be going to the party alone," BB sighed.

Cyborg rubbed BB's head. "That's not true. I'll be there. So will everybody else. Well, everyone except for-"

"RAVEN! I know she hates me, but why can't she just say yes?!"

Beast Boy sobbed into Cyborg's shoulder. Cyborg patted BB on the head. "Don't worry, little buddy. You'll have me there to support you, no matter what happens. Besides, she might change her mind and come anyway."

"I need to go!"

As BB ran away, Cyborg shouted, "What? Why?"

"I've got an idea!"

Cyborg sat down at the table, biting into an apple. "He's growing up so fast."

BB got to work, brainstorming in his bedroom. He had a huge bowl full of salad next to him and a pencil behind his ear.

I need something that'll blow Raven away, Beast Boy thought, something incredible.

BB stayed in his room for a hour, thinking, pacing and eating salad.

I don't know what to do for Raven, Beast Boy thought, being her, she wouldn't love something unless it was super-special. It makes sense, though, why she's so hard to impress. She's always been as beautiful as a flower. Wait!!

BB ran out of his room, down the hall and into the kitchen.

"Cyborg!"

Cyborg turned his head to Beast Boy.

"I know what to do about this whole party thing!

"I need to find a rose for Raven. But, it can't be some plain-old rose...it needs to be magic!"

Cyborg stood up. "Or...it could just be her favourite colour, or something."

"Cy, you might be on to something. What's a colour that would be awesome and is a real rose colour?"

Cyborg tapped his chin in thought. "Hmm...

"Maybe she'd like a black one."

"There's black roses?" Beast Boy asked.

"There's only one way to find out...

"We need to go out and find a black rose for Raven!" Cyborg said. "Can I just do some party-planning and meet up with you in the garden in ten minutes?"

Beast Boy nodded, and in a matter of seconds, he was out the door, to find what he was looking for.

Starfire was baffled by what Raven had just told her. Before she had gone to her room, Raven had told her that she regretted not accepting Beast Boy's offer to go to Cyborg's party.

Earth customs don't make any sense. Raven said that she wouldn't like to come to the party with Beast Boy, but now she says that she should have said yes, and is feeling bad about everything. What does this mean?!

Starfire sat on her bed, thinking this through.

Maybe Raven felt stressed and said no because she couldn't say yes. Maybe she intended to say no, but then her new feelings came. I would say it is the former. Raven wouldn't reject Beast Boy, she's too sweet inside to do that. I have to tell everybody else and ask for opinions.

Starfire flew to the door, then paused. I think I shouldn't tell everybody else, Raven would get embarrassed. I'll talk to Raven again later, but for now I should just keep this to myself.
