30 - Yunho

Rumors started to spread like wild fire in our company. I had to hide my embarrassment everytime I entered the company building because everyone will stared at me. It's weird why Yunho just relaxed about it.

That late evening, I joined Alice, Mingi and Wooyoung for dinner after work.

"Wow Y/N! It's been one month since we heard the rumors but still I see no changes or improvement between you two" Alice said while sipping his lime juice.

Wooyoung and Mingi nodded.

"I told y'all he's just a friend. I didn't knew who posted it" Taken a bite of my steak.

"Or you don't want him because of who is he from?" Alice question suddenly make me curious.

"Meaning? I don't understand" I raised my eyebrows looking at her.

"Oh my.. You really know nothing Y/N? It's a famous news long time ago" Alice patted his forehead.

"Why why.. Tell me.." I leaned closer to her.

"You know about Yunho is not Mr. Choi's true son. He's adopted" Alice answered.

"Yes.. True true... I've heard it too. He's adopted when he was 10. His family name is Jeong, not Choi" Wooyoung interrupted.

I felt like a bullet hit my heart. All of old memories like kept rewinding in my mind. What's this? Is this why San didn't like him? But why Mr. Choi introduced him as the eldest one? Why San punched him? Is this why Yunho's name on his desk only written his first name?

All questions kept on popping in my mind non-stop.

As Alice and Wooyoung kept talking, Mingi waved his hand in front of Y/N face.

"Hey Y/N.. Why spaced out?" He laughed.

I shook my head not wanting to spill my true reaction.

"Guys.. Did you happened to know if Mr. and Mrs. Choi have any other child?" I tried to asked them if any mystery could be dig out.

"Other child? Mmm... Oh there is! The only biological child of them. His name is San" Mingi said and the other two nodded.

"Oh right! I've heard it too! But his biological child is not really well. I didn't knew it well. I heard because he had some kind of mental illness but no one know how he got it" Wooyoung explained

It's like a storm striked me when I heard his name. It's been a long time. I don't know why I felt sad when I heard his name.

"Maybe that's why Mr. Choi wanted Yunho to manage the company since his own son is not really well. Plus, Mr. Choi seems kinda wanted to hide his son's illness as well. So that explained why Yunho took the place" Alice continued.

Tears already formed on my eyes. I tried to hold it. I felt pity for him to leave him all alone.

"Emm..Y/N. Are you okay??!" Alice touched my shoulder and wrapped my waist as to calm me down.

"Oh nothing.. Sand got into my eyes" I lied.

"Oh you just being a softy Y/N. You must be crying because we told the story like a pro. Besides, there's no sand here. There's dust" Mingi joking and I literally laughed a bit on that.

I tried to hold my feelings not wanting them to get suspicious more. Suddenly I remembered the photo that I snapped in San's room. I saw a girl in that photo. I didn't knew is that Yeoju or Mr. Choi other adopted child.

"By the way, guys... I wanna ask another one thing about Mr. Choi's family" All three of them looked at me.

"Is Mr. Choi has a daughter?" They laughed.

"Omo Y/N.. You sure don't know anything huh" Wooyoung teased me.

"Let us story to you" I nodded as I wanted to know what was happening actually.

"There is another one girl they adopted at that time but I forgot her name" Wooyoung said while rubbing his chin thinking the name.

"Yeoju Yeoju..!" Mingi said loudly but not can be heard until next table.

"Ah yes... Now I remembered. Yeoju. She and Yunho were taken together and adopted at the same time. Both of them had same age and Mr. Choi wanted them to get married to each other but it's sad..." Wooyoung paused for a while.

"Why why.. What happened?" I leaned closer to them.

"You sure like this story huh Y/N" Alice squished my cheek.

He then continued.

"Unfortunately she didn't get to live very long. She passed away at 20 because of leukaemia and on the same year San got mental illness" I can't hold my feelings anymore when Wooyoung told me that.

My eyes already teary and I quickly wiped not wanting it falls. My hands shaken and I felt very weak right now.

"Guys.. I'm sorry.. I should go home now. I'm not feeling well" I took my smartphone and my handbag on the chair.

"Why why..." Mingi asked.

"Sorry guys. Next time I promise I will join y'all more longer" I bowed a bit and left them.

"Hmmm... She sure must be very sad huh thinking about Yunho" Wooyoung said.

"I think so.. Okay let's continue where we left" Mingi interrupted and Alice nodded wanting to hear more.

I went out from the shop and speed up my steps. I felt like I wanted to vomit after hearing all that. It's like there's a lump in my throat.

I reached my apartment and I sat on my bed. I felt sad, empty, pity, sorry and many more! Things keep going on in my brain. My eyes already red and wet with my tears.

I remembered how I asked him about Yeoju when he was so stressed. I felt so sorry to him leaving him alone while I'm here not knowing the truths and how he felt. I didn't knew the pain he kept secret in his heart. I didn't know anything!

I'm selfish only thinking he didn't knew my feeling but it is me. I didn't knew how he felt. I sobbed thinking about what I had done to him all night. I promise to stay with him but I failed! Now I know how much I love and miss you.
