51 - Sara

Prologue

Mrs. Choi feels weird when she saw Sara went home on that day. She didn't talk much and just doing her chores quietly. Even though Sara is not her real daughter but she feels like one. She thinked maybe Sara didn't feel well.

Sara lying on her bed and stared to the ceiling. The tears builded up in her eyes finally falls and cannot be stopped. She closed her eyes. Her heart crashed thinking on what San said to her.

She thought atleast San will give her a small chance but she was wrong. He didn't look nor care about her. She remembered during their old times. San only had eyes on Yeoju but not her but she kept it only to herself. She didn't told Yeoju that she had a crush to San. She buried her face in the pillow and cried as much as she want.

San was at the office and he told me the best for me is to take holidays until I'll deliver.

Today is Saturday and San told me he had something to settle down with David. I pulled out my phone and texted Alice. I remembered about my promise to treat Alice for Baskin-Robbins ice-cream. We promised to meet this afternoon at 2PM.

My instinct tells me that I need to meet Sara. Somehow I do feel bad about her but that doesn't mean I forgot what she did last time. I texted Alice again and told her to accompany me to meet Sara at the same location. Luckily she agreed after she cursed Sara a lot through her message.

I messaged Sara then wanted to meet her today.

Alice and I waited at the Baskin-Robbins. We didn't bought our ice-cream first. Better wait for Sara to reach here first.

We saw she walked from the outside through the glass looking door. She opened it and noticed us from a far. She looked down and slowly walked to us.

I patted Alice hands as not wanting her to get angry to Sara. Alice sighed.

She stands near to our table. She looks horrible. Her face looks puffed, dark circles formed under her eyes and her eyes look red.

"Sit down Sara" I slowly said while showing her to seat in front of me.

The silence of awkward between us really makes me suffocated. Alice elbowed me and eyeing me as a sign when will we started to talk.

"Ok ok" I slowly whispered to Alice.

"Which flavours do you want Sara?" I asked her as she still the same with her static position.

She looked up and shook her head.

"It just an ice-cream Sara. Pick one. I'm not gonna do anything" I slowly persuaded her. Her face shows that she lost her sense to do anything.

"Mint chocolate" Sara slowly said.

Alice ready to stand up to order and we both paused when she continued again.

"And strawberry flavour. His favourite..." She slowly mumbled while looking to the table.

Alice already balled her fist ready to fight and I stopped her. I think she still has feeling to San but she can't expressed it.

I advert my eyes to the counter and looking at Alice again as a sign for Alice to buy us 3 ice-creams while me will talk with Sara for a moment. Alice nodded and went from there before queuing.

"I called you here not because of I wanted to talk about the thing I saw" I put my elbows on the table.
