A teenage girl was sent home from school
Because her bra strap could be seen,
Her education was stopped short,
Sexualizing a girl just turning fifteen.
At the mention of the word "period",
Each and every face turns away,
Embarrassed of the natural functions
Of where they once used to stay.
A woman walks home, she's afraid,
Sneaking rapid glances behind,
Scared that she'll be kidnapped or raped,
Paranoia tearing through her mind.
Her opinion is pushed down, suppressed,
Considered merely another servant,
Who bites her tongue for fear of injuries
Because she's shrewd and observant.
The pounding of her heart when he's there
Always precedes the one her body receives,
A newborn pair of eyes never see daylight,
A cruel lie the poor mother believes.
"He was not to blame, look at her clothes."
Was said about a girl in her school uniform
Who just wanted to reach home safely,
Not start a revolution or reform.
Abused and having finally had enough,
She filed a form for her divorce,
A few days later she was found dead,
Her skull caved in with force.
Dismissing her claims and feelings,
(She's simply an over reactor)
Women are thus too emotional,
Calling it an important factor.
But little do you know,
After every push she stands back up
And looks straight into his eyes
A kingless queen can reign forever
Her body will never be his prize.
The red on her lips represents her rage,
A burning inferno of a goddess,
She's knelt down for far too long,
This is her vow to the future, a promise.
She's going to scream today for herself
So that later, another girl without a choice,
Will not stifle her sobs and wonder
Where in history she lost her voice.
