Our first date was as awkward as they come. I was the most shy person suddenly. I stuttered over my words and made a fool of myself at least more than half the time.
I don't think Calum noticed. Or he didn't care. He pretended not to notice my stuttering, and he just smiled kindly when I did something. He must have felt bad for me.
I totally freaked out when he reached over and placed his hand over mine. I was telling a sad story of when my dog died, and he reached over and gently put his hand over mine in a sympathetic manner. The second he did it, I burst out laughing. It was quite humiliating. He just sat there, not giving me a look that said how stupid I was.
We went on 3 more dates until he asked me to be his girlfriens.
We dated 4 months before we admitted our love for each other.
A horrible thing happened a month after.
