Maya was now, situated in a position she was most afraid of.
She didn't know what to say.
He was watching her closely, seeming like he had taken a million glances at the girl as she avoided eye contact, stiffly sitting on the chair with him right opposite her, casually leaned against the wall.
Not to mention he looked extremely inviting.
His caramel brown locks were effortlessly placed over his forehead and her heart skipped beats over the intensity of his amber eyes.
"So what's your name, doll?" He smirked, making her purse her lips at the nickname as she spared a glance up at his direction, averting her eyes immediately as panic of making eye contact rushed through her body.
Well aware he was only teasing her made her slightly irritated, due to the fact he clearly heard Mingyul call her by her name a few moments earlier.
"Maya." She said quietly, almost incoherently and very glad he had his shirt on by now.
Sweats were hanging low on his hips with hands stuffed in each pocket. His grin widened to an extent as he took a step closer, examining her uncomfortable-self.
"Maya." He repeated lowly, letting out a chuckle with a hand creeping towards her face as she looked up at him with a confused gaze. "So innocent."He traced his fingers against her jaw and neck, a teasing look in his eyes making her irritated as she gulped down the knot that formed in her throat. Too bad that it didn't have any intentions of going away, the girl couldn't even move after all — too entranced by her roommate.
She took an intake of air, almost unable to breathe normally and she was sure the boy could hear the hurricane of the tremendous beats of her unruly heart.
"What makes you think I'm innocent?" She questioned, mentally cringing at herself as she tried to hold the tensed eye contact — him standing in front of her. His face showed amusement. He didn't expect her to say anything but decided to follow the conversation with being the lead.
"Well, aren't you?" He licked his lips, squatting and Maya moved back, further into her seat in anxiousness. It felt nearly intoxicating to focus on anything else but his velvety tone and dark eyes.
Humming, the boy placed his hand on her thigh, making her flinch. Maya didn't know what was he trying to do and to be honest, he intimidated her more than she thought he would.
"That boyfriend of yours... it doesn't seem like he treats you properly." He said after a moment, tilting his head to the side and the girl might've glanced down at his exposed neck that was very close to her sight.
"He treats me good." She assured quietly, gulping and desperately trying to think of ways to get herself away from the situation. "He's nice."
"Oh really?" He chuckled mockingly, standing up and walking behind her. Maya's body stiffened and every muscle tensed up as he lowered his head, hot breaths fanning her neck from up close. "But does he kiss you till you're out of breath, touch you as you desire and crave, hm?"
Oh lord have mercy.
What was he on about?
That was the first thing that came to her mind. Was he already offering nasty things and she didn't even pick up his name yet.
"You know." Maya started off softly as she stood up, facing him. It took all the courage she could actually mend together to form a sentence, pushing the thought of his good looks that were certainly prettier than his personality away.
"I don't think that's quite your business." And with that, she was gone to her room. Her hands were shaking and she felt like just coming back from running laps around the house. It was like she had lost her mind.
Maya felt her cheeks heating up, trying to calm down and forcing herself not to think back to it because the way he whispered his words made her feel something twitch inside her body.
Getting a place in the middle of Seoul, rooming with a guy and a flirt on top of it wasn't really her idea of starting the university with. How ironic.
But the boy had her curious. She was insanely intrigued by him and it wasn't even an hour that went by since she came along.
He wasn't someone she'd like to be around with, especially if he'd be messing with her like this all the time, but something about his aura made her feel almost, astonished.
But her scaredy-self was too afraid to ask for his name.
Would it be weird if she just walked out and asked for it? Yes.
But it didn't matter. It wasn't like them two are going to be talking anyway.
But something in her gut was telling her she was extremely wrong about that.
