Waking up to the sound of low grunts, Maya slowly recalled his aggravated state- eyes shooting wide awake as she turned to her roommate.
"Hyuck, what's the matter?" She asked, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.

"I want to die." He rasped out, shivering- groaning again as she flicked on the bedside lamp.

"Oh shut up," She scolded, sliding to her feet. "Take this."

As he took a swig of the water to chug down the pill, he exhaled shakily.
"Go back to sleep, I'll manage." Donghyuck mumbled, leaned back into the headboard.

"No."

"You have school."

"I don't care, I'll stay with you." She deadpanned, pressing the cloth onto his damp forehead.

"You're stupid. Just go, I'll be fine."

"I won't leave you Donghyuck."

He opened his one eye, grimacing as she called him by his real name. "Don't call me that."

She sighed, checking the time that striked six in the early hours of the morning.
"You should take a shower."

"Are you saying I stink?" Donghyuck asked in irritation, glaring up at the girl as she rolled her eyes.
"Or are you just trying to see me naked?"

"Sometimes I wonder, are you naturally that dumb?"

"What's dumb about that? I mean if I was you I wouldn't slip the chance when it's served right in front of me." He rambled on. "I'm a defenceless snack-"

"This fever is making you overconfident." Maya sighed, helping him up as their feet patted towards the bathroom.

"My head is killing me." He mumbled, wrapping his arms around her waist and putting his head to the crook of her neck. "And there's too much lightning."

"Hyuck I can't hold you, we're going to fall." Gasping, she leaned back on the tiled wall- holding up half of his weight as her eyes shifted around his bathroom.
"You have a bath and I don't, this is so unfair."

"The perks of being here first means I get the best things." He mumbled into her neck, a small chuckle falling out of his mouth.

"I'll borrow it sometime."
"That means I can join you-''
"Shut up." She silenced him before he could continue, amused by his flirty comments although he was in such state.

"Sit down here." She demanded, closing the toilet lid.

"Turn the light off." Donghyuck groaned, head in his palms as the girl started filling up the bath for him. "You're torturing me."

"You're so dramatic."

"Maya." He whined profusely, making the girl sigh and force herself to saunter off to flick the light off in his room and turn the one inside the bathroom off.

"Better now, princess?" She joked, trying to cope with the lack of vision but Donghyuck didn't reply- letting out sharp breaths.

"We'll have to hurry up, I don't want you end up in a hospital." Maya murmured, more to herself as she started helping him pull his shirt off.

Another week later and they were already back on track, walking side by side as the rest of them trailed behind, no words exchanged.

Donghyuck was in his usual persona- eyes dark, glaring at everyone who glanced his way, hands in his jacket pockets and his toffee skin practically glowing on his face- the morning gleam getting out the best of him.

Chenle stopped by his locker, making everyone else automatically stop as well, waiting as the boy got out the things he needed.

Leaning back on a sleepy Jisung, the girl closed her eyes, sounds of agony breaking through her ears and she winced as people were literally yelling one over another down the hallway.

"Get off, midget." Jisung groaned, attempting to push her away but Maya wasn't budging at all, keeping her lids closed.

Too tired to argue with him, she waited until the group started moving forward again. Jisung too, let the girl be as he pulled the hood over his head.

"Is it just me or are you unusually nice today?"

"I mean, I can bully you-" Jisung began with a smirk.

"Shut up." Maya rolled her eyes, grabbing her air pods.

"Gimme one." Jisung snatched one bud right from her hands, earning a look of disbelief but nevertheless, she shrugged it off.

"I expected your music taste to be shit but it isn't." He muttered, bringing a smirk to latch onto his lips.

"Don't underestimate me you fuck."

"I'm going to gag." Renjun commented as he watched some of their classmates cheering for a boy who apparently seemed to be birthday celebrated.
"I hate these people."

"Let's be real, you hate everyone not just them." Chenle pointed out, copying the homework while glancing over at him.

"Prettymuch." Renjun answered bluntly, expression filled with disgust before glancing at the woman that walked in.

"Alright class, you're taking a surprise quiz today!" The teacher exclaimed in a cheerful voice, getting straight to the point right after entering.

A wave of groans filled the room as the teacher tapped her foot against the floor, starting to distribute the quizzes to everybody as they got seated.

"Watch me get zero points." Jisung mumbled and Maya snickered at him while clicking her pen.

"You have an hour, I'm looking forward to see everything answered because you will partly be graded from this. Good luck."
