In the middle of her unpacking, there was a knock on the door that made the hairs on Maya's neck lift. Gulping down the stubborn knot in her throat, her heart began thrashing again.

Maya unfroze from the position after a few tedious seconds, huffing out as she made her way over to the door, knowing exactly who would be on the other side of it.

"Yes?" She said uneasily, seeing the boy leaned up on the doorframe with a smug look occupying his whole face, arms folded in front of his chest.

"You left me all by myself, so I decided to come by." Donghyuck said with a smirk, inviting himself into her room and plopping down on the bed.

His eyes trailed to the opened suitcase that was sprawled out in the middle of it. In his head, there wasn't even the slightest issue that he was going to be sharing the apartment with a girl, especially someone like her — introverted and awkward.

But it clearly was a huge problem for Maya. And once again, she remained silent, not knowing what to say as she watched him with big eyes.

Suddenly, he moved his head — dark orbs burning into her eyes and Maya was shocked by her own confidence as she stared back at him, although it was obvious he made her way too nervous.

Standing up, the boy inched her way with such power, she couldn't move from her spot. "Don't be shy, doll." He whispered, the girl tensing under his touch and she quickly pulled his hand away from her waist, distancing herself.

"What do you want?" Maya asked uneasily, tilting her head slightly so she was looking up at him.

"I want to get to know you better, princess."

Again with the nicknames.

Damn it.

He inched closer once again as she took small steps back, not knowing what he was about to do and just for her luck, she tripped and almost fell backwards — if it wasn't for him that caught her waist just as she was about to hit the floor.

"Careful, you're falling for me too quickly." The corner of his mouth lifted into a teasing smirk, their faces dangerously close which resulted in the girl to blush furiously and mentally curse herself.

"Uh—I would appreciate if you didn't invade my personal space." Maya stammered out, squinting her eyes at him and moving away as fast as she could.

But the boy only chuckled, licking his lips as he nodded vacantly while watching her every move. Maya was nervous, that's what he could exactly put a finger on and on that note, he was very pleased about it and was willing to take advantage of it.

"The name's Donghyuck. If you ever need anything—I'm right there."
He winked then, walking out and Maya closed her eyes just after her door shut close.

At least she knew his name now.

Exhaling, Maya tried to calm down, not wanting to feel her heartbeat all over her body anymore.

And the causer, well, it was him. And the worst of it all, the boy knew exactly what he was doing  — affecting her in a way not even her own boyfriend could.

And that was his privilege.
