It was night. After packing up, Elliott and Sparx hit the road to Bateman to stop Maverick on whatever mayhem he plans on doing.

The former home was a couple hours away from Mase City, so he decide to head there and make it in the morning.

The Hero wasn't worried about sleep as his anger for going to the place he left will get him to the destination.

Upon leaving, he got the weekend off from Market Quest thanks from the Uka Gang scaring Matt into a panic.

As for Yani, he told her that he was going out of town and didn't say where. Telling her not to worry, made her worry.

No matter, Elliott was too busy being pissed on helping the Uka Gang get their Boss back who picked on him so much. He wanted to return home and live his life.

Unfortunately, with the mess Mavis caused, he had a duty to perform. No matter how much hate he had for the person in need of help.

Arriving at the room in the hotel he was going to stay at 4 in the morning, Elliott place his bag in the closet.

After spraying the bed with disinfectant, he hoped in with Sparx on the other pillow and went to sleep.

Elliott stop midway up on the stairs, looking at his sister with so much venom. "Help? What you did was help? Well, thanks for you help because the whole town is going to come after us. Thank you so much, School President!"

After a sarcastic applause, he went off to his room, slamming the door. His sister closed her eyes, letting out a defeated sigh. "I'm sorry, Elliott."

Hours later when their mother came home and made dinner with some help from her daughter, the family sat down to eat.

Usually the two children would talk about their day. But all there was silence. The Daughter was eating slowly while Elliott kept to himself,

The mother cleared her throat, eyeing the kids. "Elliott. June. How was your day?"

Wiping her mouth, June look to her mom. "It...was okay."

The nervous response made the mother raise an eyebrow at her daughter. It wasn't like her. Unfortunately, due to what's been happening as of late, she would be as well.

"Elliott...how about you?"

Piercing his fork into a slice of pork roast, he looked at his sister with intentional hate that can be felt from across the table to her.

"Terrible."

"Why was it terrible?" Mom asked.

"Why don't you ask Good Ole Juney. She's the reason why my day was horrible."

"Elliott, please. I'm so-"

"Sorry about what? Sorry about how the whole mess is going to treat us after this hell storm is over? After the town kicks us out? I had a plan that would go smoothly and no one would hate us.

"Drop off the football team and all would be well. That's it! But Little Miss Perfect here got him expelled!"

June shook her at her ungrateful brother. "You wanted me to let him continue bullying you forever? I did what was right for you."

"Then what about the other kids that the other bullies pick on everyday? Oh, but since I'm your little brother, you make an exception.

"So if you want to help me out, how about this: Stay out of my life...forever."

Grabbing his plate and silver utensils, Elliott went to walk off. He turn back to his mother with a softened look. "I'm sorry mom. This pork loin is amazing."

He walked off to his room with his food, leaving the Mother and Daughter who started crying again.

Mom got up and consul June, hugging her. "Don't worry. He's...just worry about how everything is going to change for us now. He doesn't mean it."

"I-I was j-just trying to help him. I want to save him, mom."

Waking up, gasping for air, Elliott ran out of the bed into the bathroom. His heart was beating rapidly as he try get some air. Breathing slowly to calm his heart rate, he sat on the toilet, bursting into tears.

Flying into the room, Spark who was half asleep went to check on his partner. "Y-You okay, Elliott?"

"Y-yeah. Just had a dream, that's all" he answer, covering his face with his hands.

The Dragonfly land on the towel rack by the Hero. "I know you hate it here and all, I'm here if you need to talk. Okay?"

Placing his hands down, Elliott gave his partner a big smile. "Thank you, buddy. It means a lot."

Wiping his eyes, he got up, stretching his arms up. "It must be still early morning. Let's go for a jog. I know the perfect place."

"Okay, buddy" said Sparx.

Putting on grey jogging set and shoes, the Hero and Dragonfly went out of the hotel and into the rain.

Jogging in the old hometown, Elliott love the rain. Sometimes the sun brings smiles, nothing wrong with that. It's just something about rain just smoothes the soul.

Making it to his destination, a football field with a running track around it.

"This baby is still here" Elliott said, smiling at the sight of it.

Taking his time to the track, him and Sparx start jogging around, the droplets of rain hit on them.

After three laps around, Elliott tone it down and just walking while Sparx rest on his shoulder.

"How are you able to have energy still?" the Dragonfly asked.

"I was use to it on the football field. Coach didn't care if it was sun, rain, or snow, the show goes on. I still remember almost twisting my ankle from slipping on the track. I believe it was..."

Trying to point at the location, the Hero stop talking as he saw something strange on the football field.

There were two yellow dots just floating in the air. "Uh, Sparx. Tell me if you see that?"

Looking on the field, the Partner saw a pair of yellow dots. As when a flash of lightning hit, the two saw that there were something more to those dots.

"Oh, it's too early for this" Elliott sighed, stretching his arms and popping the knuckles on his hands.

A fight was about happen.
