Little Yoongi

Caregiver Seokjin

"Yoongi!" Seokjin called as he looked around the house, peeking into each room."Come out, punk! It's time for lunch!" He didn't know what had gotten into Yoongi lately, but he seemed to be going through a phase. This phase included hiding in various parts of the house, purposely making messes, and...

"Meow."

Seokjin paused and tried to listen for the soft sound to be made again. Instead of another meow, he heard a cute little giggle. Being in the living room, he knew exactly where Yoongi must be now."Yoongi, you know you aren't supposed to hide like this." Stepping over to the couch, he looked behind it. To his surprise, Yoongi wasn't back there, unlike what he had expected.

"Meow." Yoongi said with a giggle from his hiding spot."I see you, Papa. Meow."

"How the hell..." Seokjin looked down at the sofa and was confused and impressed at the same time."How did you even manage to get in there?"

Little Yoongi was squished down between the cushions of the couch, lying as straight as possible to fit between the back cushions and seat cushions."Kitties can fit anywhere. Meow."

"Well, kitties also need to eat their lunch." Seokjin placed his hands onto his hips and lightly tapped his foot.

Wiggling a bit, Yoongi found himself to be in quite a predicament."Um, Papa...Kitty is stuck."

"Oh, dear lord." Seokjin rolled his eyes and started tugging the cushions off of the couch to free Yoongi from his hiding spot.

As soon as he was free, Yoongi got off the couch and took off running out of the living room."Lunch! Lunch!"

All Seokjin could do was shake his head and follow after Yoongi to the dining room."I made some fried noodles with shrimp and coconut. I know how much you like it."

Seating himself at the table, Yoongi sat on his knees on his chair."Noodles!" Leaning down, he slurped up a noodle sloppily.

"Use your fork, silly goose." Seokjin seated himself as well."And sit on your butt. You know the rules." Grabbing his own fork, Seokjin began to eat while also keeping an eye on his little one."Yoongi." he said with a more stern tone."Sit on your butt and use your fork." It had to be repeated because the little was still on his knees and trying to eat without using his hands.

"But I'm a kitty. Kitties can't use forks." Playfully, Yoongi leaned in close to his bowl of noodles again and didn't seem to realize that he was frustrating his caretaker. However, since he was having difficulty eating without hands, he gave in and started using his fork.

Seeing that Yoongi had started using his fork, Seokjin just needed the little to sit on his butt now."Sit properly, Yoongi. You're going to ruin the chair cushion if you have your knees on it like that." He got no reaction from Yoongi. He watched for a moment as Yoongi got some noodles onto his fork and lifted it up high, needing to lean his head back to slurp the noodles from beneath."Yoongi." He tried to use the stern tone again, but it wasn't getting him anywhere."Yoongi!"

Yoongi's instant reaction to Seokjin's raised voice was to drop his fork and press his hands over his ears, squeezing his eyes shut. He didn't like it when his papa raised his voice. It scared him.

Seokjin immediately felt bad for raising his voice. Sighing heavily, he got up from his chair and stepped around to Yoongi, who remained with his eyes closed and ears covered. He picked up the dropped fork and made his way into the kitchen. He placed the dirty fork into the sink and grabbed a clean one, taking it into the dining room. After setting the clean fork beside Yoongi's bowl, Seokjin touched Yoongi's wrist very gently."Yoongi, Papa's sorry."

Opening his eyes now, Yoongi looked up at Seokjin and cautiously moved his hands away from his ears."I was bad, Papa. Sorry." He knew he had been breaking the rules and not listening to his caretaker, but he'd just been having fun. He only wanted to be a silly kitty.

"It's okay. You just need to listen when I tell you to follow the rules." Seokjin hated raising his voice around Yoongi. He knew that the little had been verbally abused by his previous caretaker, causing him to be afraid of angry voices."Now eat your lunch, okay? You can keep being a kitty once you're done eating." Leaning down, Seokjin kissed the top of Yoongi's head.

Yoongi was just a little shaky as he shifted to sit on his butt and resumed eating. He trusted Seokjin to not be so mean to him like his previous caretaker had been, but he still got scared of his raised voice. It was pretty quiet for the rest of lunch, neither of them really having anything to say. Once they were both done eating, Yoongi wiggled a bit on his chair."Papa, can I go play?"

"Of course, pumpkin." Seokjin stood and started gathering their dirty dishes.

"Pumpkin~" Yoongi giggled as he got up from his chair. He liked the things Seokjin called him. Leaving the dining room, he headed to his bedroom to play.

Taking the dishes into the kitchen, Seokjin couldn't help but smile as he thought about Yoongi. He loved taking care of the cute little. He sometimes wondered if Yoongi ever went into big space. If so, he had never seen it. Did Yoongi even have a big space? If he didn't, Seokjin wouldn't mind. He adored Yoongi so much and wanted to take care of him forever. He would never forget the day he had found Yoongi. Seokjin had come across Yoongi and another man--his previous caretaker--at the park. Yoongi had just wanted to play, but the man was impatient and yelling at him.

Seokjin had intervened, telling the man to calm down and not be so harsh. The man only scoffed and said, "If you think you can be patient with this brat, be my guest." Then, he stomped away, just leaving Yoongi behind. It had taken a few hours of playing to get Yoongi to feel better and agree to go home with Seokjin, but they'd been together ever since. That was about a year ago. How someone could just abandon Yoongi with a stranger like that made no sense to Seokjin. Sure, Yoongi could be a handful sometimes, but that was normal for a little. Yoongi could be surprisingly well-behaved at times as well. And those cute giggles always made Seokjin's heart feel like it was full of so much love that it could burst.

After he finished washing the dishes, Seokjin went into the living room and took this chance to fix the couch cushions then watch some tv. He liked to watch cooking shows and try to learn a few things from the chefs. That way, he could try out new meal ideas for himself and Yoongi. He was alone with his shows for about an hour until something grabbed his attention from the tv.

"Meow."

Flicking his gaze over to the doorway, Seokjin chuckled as he saw Yoongi crawl into the living room. He returned his attention to the show and just let Yoongi continue to crawl around. It wasn't until Yoongi pat his knee that Seokjin looked at him again."You want to watch some tv with me, Yoongi?"

"Meow." Yoongi rested his chin onto Seokjin's knee."I'm not Yoongi. I'm a kitty. Meow."

"Well, you certainly don't look like any kitty I've ever seen." Seokjin said, earning an adorable pout."You're much cuter."

Happy with that, Yoongi grinned and got up onto the couch with his caretaker. He flopped down onto his side and laid his head onto Seokjin's lap."Am I a good kitty, Papa?"

"The best kitty." Seokjin started stroking Yoongi's hair as he resumed watching the cooking show."What would you like for dinner tonight, little kitty?"

Yoongi thought for a moment before answering."Cupcakes."

That made Seokjin chuckle."We can't have cupcakes for dinner, silly." He was so happy to have Yoongi with him. Yoongi was his little buddy, and he loved him.
